Dude i tried to respond to both the substance and your own snark, in kind, in a playful-ish way. It's not my fault you and the other guy who you are related to but definitely don't share any similarities with and each individually have your own lives and opinions and emotions get thrown off by mine or anyone elses bullpoop on here. No matter how inane or silly. Stop taking everything so seriously and personally. Again I remind you of your vile DM's that you sent me that I immediately looked past and moved on from. 100000% worse than anything i would dream of saying to anyone. Respond to my substance, joke back with me, or just don't respond - picklerick
You obviously haven’t moved on from them and bring them up all time

I think you guys are overreacting to one season. A season where you could argue that everything needed to happen the way it went down. Meaning they needed to take steps backs in order to move forward. - Slimtj100
He has made the team worse each season. Inherited a good team. Tro has been his only impact add. He gets credit for things he really did not help in but was just there for

I never once was mad over it and i accepted your apology lol. I'm bringing it up every time you think i'm the devil to remind you i am not so bad, i don't think. I know you are fighting a battle between liking me and hating me. See the light. I'm just really annoying, not evil |

Last week i went to stew leonards with both of my kids and accidentally dumped the shopping cart and them off the curb into the parking lot in front of 100 people waiting in line for the easter bunny. |

And then you took something i said that was fairly inane very personally and indeed started this. even after i apologized with only 50% snark.
I also then restated my hockey point with no other commentary. It's sitting there waiting for response |

Are we or are we not a better team with JT miller over Trouba? Because that’s essentially what he was trying to do the whole time. Regarding getting rid of Trouba - Slimtj100
Oh yeah, I like the JT trade but Drury wasnt thinking of trading for Miller at the time. There wasnt an issue in Vancouver yet.
Imagine if the Trouba and Goodrow nonsense didnt go down and the locker room is not a hostile environment and we do the Miller trade, what does this team do in the playoffs? Mika was a different player with Miller. Who knows but if Drury used some tact, it might have played out differently. |

Why is Trouba a douche? Because he refused to be traded? - Brukie
He had every right to refuse a trade, but if ya gonna do so you make dam sure that you keep that BS out of locker room. By many accts. he was a different player and withdrawn, and it permeated through the locker room. He wasn't a professional... That's why he's a douche. Boo hoo...my wife is still in her residency..You are making 8mill.$$...Not one fan gives a F**K about your travel inconveniences/long distance relationship w/ your wife. |

I might be pissing into the wind here but I'm pretty sure the recent revelation about Panarin played a pretty big role in the locker room. Who knows for how long |

Truthfully at that point how do you blame the guy? The locker room knows full well he is going to be traded, how can they even look at him in the face and say lead us? Same thing with CK20 when management comes out and says we are trading our leaders.
I love when people say they are millionaires, true but when your boss says, you have 2 weeks and you will no longer work here, how do you not feel bitter and say (frank) you? - Brukie
You do realize that Drury didn't leak anything...right? When GMs communicate many people are aware in their offices. Might have been someone who leaked it from NYR, but Drury had zero reason to due so. If Trouba soured on NYR wanting to trade him, then he shouldn't of found the loophole about his wife's residency concluding rather then a specific year and accepted a trade. NYR didn't realize her residency was delayed due to Covid...and that's when the shiit hit the fan. Sorry, 99% of us wanted him to move Goody and Trouba. Drury traded them...that's the life of a professional athlete.

We as fans dont but we should understand where he is coming from and his team mates definitely did. How do you not get affected by what your boss basically said out in public that we dont want you here anymore?? In every ones eyes in the locker room, they know you are a lame duck Captain, they know he has one foot out the door, what can he actually say to a bunch of his team mates to pick them up when they know he is gone sooner than later?
You want to blame Trouba but Drury left him powerless. |

Truthfully I didnt do the math with the Cap but if the Lindgren trade went down a bit sooner I think the numbers might have worked.
Where there is a will there is a way. I had said many times, IF Mika had produced a bit, we make the finals. |

Maybe so...but Trouba could've accepted trade and not pull the "resdiency" clause and he would've been gone b4 season. Trouba caused it all! Drury did what he thought as GM was best for the team...Trouba refused and went into NYR locker room as a Captain in the Fall, and did nothing but whine.

True nobody knows who leaked what but Drury got rid of these players in a low life, under handed way. He could have waited till this July to move Trouba, it might not have cost him the season as it did. We arent talking about deli owner getting rid of some 16yo who didnt want to stock some shelves here.
We will see if what transpired affects the Rangers attracting FA come July 1st. |

How do you know he did nothing but whine? Why do you think its ok that the guy should be all the way across the country from his wife and new born? Drury thought so highly of Trouba he gave him the C and less than 2 years later has to ship him out? Come on dude, really? This is such mismanagement it (frank)ing ridiculous. |

I wish he would’ve addressed it. Maybe at some point he will, but heading into next season Drury could make the perfect moves and that would be one topic that could loom over their heads. Feel like it makes him borderline untradeable even if he wanted to leave. |
|
|
|
Let’s pump the brakes on Trouba for a moment. While I understand his wanting to stay in New York for personal reasons, his contract called for him to submit a list of teams that he would accept a trade to, or was a list of teams he didn’t want to go to?
That list was due to go into effect on July 1st. Drury either asked for the list a day or two before, or his agent submitted the list a day or so early. If in fact Drury asked for the list early it signaled to Trouba and his agent that Drury planned to move him, and use the cap savings on July 1st to improve the team. Thats his job.
Whatever Drury had planned went down the drain when Trouba agent informed every team in the league, don’t trade for him he’s not reporting. Trouba then did everything in his power to destroy the room because he was unhappy with the way things were handled
“It’s not personal Sonny, it’s just business”.
.
There is enough blame to go around here but I can’t place any more of it on Drury than Trouba and his camp. - OLDSCHOOL#6
Asking is part of the terms of the NMC. Maybe Drury - and it's possible he did - should have told Trouba and others that there will be changes due to the cap situation and the desire to alter the make up of the team somewhat. Being transparent, at to a certain extent, is part of the job of the GM with the leadership group.
That said, Tampa moved on from McDonagh quickly and didn't re-sign Stamkos, but that group was fine. So can also say that this collection of players was soft and have blame sit on the feet of both management and the players and not be wrong. |

Multiple reports and Trouba himself basically said it when he referred to his family coming first... Maybe it was just something Drury didn't want to do to Trouba family when he realized she didn't fi ish residency or it was was written in contract...but Trouba bringing it up when 1st trade was set up caused the trouble |
