Everyone, and I mean everyone, was ready to ship both Trouba and Goody out the door. The costs grossly outweighed the benefits. End of story.
The Monday morning quarterbacking on this is wild. And it’s crazy to see people who complained about both flip their comments to fit a different narrative now… - Bean_Dip
100%. Just wish we had a competent GM spend that money wiser and on better assets |

One of a kind lol!
I get the tough sentiment and generally agree with it. Definitely should be a focus to replace that aspect of their (Trouba and Goodrow) game, but with more affordable options. |

Rangers have to develop those players so they can stop overpaying them. Over pay the stars in their prime if you have to. Not those players |

Edstrom and Rempe are developing nicely. It’s crazy to think how much the rangers missed Edstrom, but they did. That line was a big part of any success they had early in the season and seemed like Carrick tailed off when Edstrom went down |

In the coming years I’d be very on board giving Rempe net front duties on the PP. Have him work on getting his stick free in front of the net and score goals because he just bigger then everyone else. Could be a real pita for opponents.
And if you think about Kreider being banged up, that element we really didn’t have all season on the PP and could be why it was bad all season. They need that presence on their PP |

I get the Rempe love, but Edstrom is without a doubt the better of the 2 and Roobroeck could quite possibly be better than all 3... however, Cuylle should also get a look there. Let them all get a crack and see what happens. |

No interest in giving up multiple pieces for a $7.45M guy who has only scored over 20 goals in one season in the NHL
I think the Penguins could have interest in K'Andre Miller if he is available. We need to address the LHD situation. |

I’m sure you feel similarly, but the idea of one of our players blossoming on the Pens would give me nightmares. He has so much potential, just makes a ton of errors. The right coach could make him a stud if he could think the game better.
Curious, who’s at the top of your team hatred list? It was the Pens for me for close to 10 years but has shifted back to the Devils recently. |

I in no way shape or form support trading for a coach. |

I do agree but I would consider trading for Sullivan (within reason). Kandre for Sullivan i might. Rangers need a good coach
Q I know you want but I think that is just inviting more bad PR which they simply don’t need right now
We’re gonna end up with Torts😬 |

Yea he was the asst under torts lol it’s never the quickest fix hiring the right coach but i think we’re close enough that it could happen with the right guy. Just finding the right guy seems difficult
I hate doing the Monday morning qb thing, but I wonder where they are if they just keep gallant. That seems like the misstep Drury made. Gallant got a raw deal and I wonder if the players feel that a couple years later (since they didn’t like Lavy apparently) |
