Look...I'm a goalie. And I have no problem with defending myself or my crease. But how does Grieg get a penalty after Stolarz does 3 things that are all CLEARLY penalties?? Did he get one for being Storlarz's female dog? A penalty for running him the previous game??

Batherson with the fly by. Cozens reaching in with the stick. Puck off the post and in. GWG was a hard to watch.

Good news is that Ullmark kinda bounced back. That second period showed what the Sens can do.

Penalty on greig seemed to be sending a message and partially reputation, despite him really not doing anything.

People seem to think he tried to pull a kreider before and that it was deserved.

He's certainly doing his job so if they can get back in the series he'll only continue to agitate. He's capable of doing so without cross checking to the face. Which I'd prefer.

I felt they played a much more composed game last night. Could've gone either way.

He's the guy but he also needs not to let in that many goals on so few shots during the 1st period. Twice he's done that now.

That being said, I think I'd still play him on Thursday. Don't think I'd want Forsberg in at all.

Game 1 and 2 were different games by Ullmark.

Game 1 he was not good, leaky, didn’t give the team in front a chance to really gain confidence. The team also was horrible on the pk (win a damn faceoff) and if Brady ties with that break..could be a different story.

Game 2 was 2 deflected goals and an OT goal that was really a well placed shot.

Ullmark brought us here..regardless of the results I believe Trav will ride him out the whole way.

Our guys need to do a better job generating chances because although Stolarz is outplaying Ullmark…he’s been giving up a bunch of rebounds that we can’t seem to capitalize on.

Credit to the leafs, they’re cleaning things up, blocking a lot of shots and boxing out Sens from getting second chances.

Depends which version of forsberg, when hes on his game can be fantastic but that's a big dice roll.

I said this above, but can you really blame ullmark fir either goal, regardless of how many shots?

Forsberg won’t even be here next season. Putting him in net signals our defeat imo. Keeping Ullmark in net, I believe shows the commitment that we ride with him through it all.

Ullmark will potentially be our goalie for at least the next 3…taking him out in big moments will have a negative effect on his play.

We don’t have a 1a, 1b like the leafs. Ullmark needs to steal or at least give us a fighting chance to win.

Ideally, as the underdog, you leave games 1 and 2 with a split. They almost got it, but no dice.

If Ottawa can play like they did in the 2nd and 3rd, I think this will be a long series. If they fall back to game 1 and the 1st period of game 2, it will be over quickly. Either way, I feel Sens win game 3 whether this series is over in 5 or stretches to 6 or 7. Too much adrenaline to lose in your home barn when it’s the first playoff game in years.

As much fun as the 4-nations turned out to be, Tkachuk hasn’t recovered from whatever injury he sustained. A bit annoying, but he’s doing what he can. He’s also looked a little off all year compared to other years. People expect him to be a Hanson brother but his play under Green has changed.

I actually don’t mind most of the players play overall. I would like to see the Chabot-Jensen pairing be a little smoother, but Jensen is also going to have 11 surgeries this summer. He’s hurtin’.

I hope the Grieg/Stolarz crap is over. That’s all I’ll say about that.

Ullmark needs to make some timely saves. There have been times this year where he takes a few games to go on a run. Hopefully he finds that gear soon.

It’s nice to see some playoff hockey again. I forgot how much more losing in the playoffs hurts. Let’s get some winning feels again.

We won literally more playoff rounds the last time we made the playoffs compared to your whole Matthews era.

You lost to Columbus

You lost to Montreal..in a Canadian Divison…up 3-1.

I think Leaf fans need to take a second, stick their heads out the clouds and maybe, just maybe…wait until the playoffs are COMPLETELY OVER before they start celebrating like it’s 67.

Leafs go up 2-0 in round 1, Toronto media puts up videos:

"Is this the year?"........ "Is this year different?".....

That's what's wrong with the market (not blaming the fans because I have relatives in GTA) but if Sens can win next 2, that for me is a BIG win. I just want to see a game 6 here in Ottawa. Rest is gravy. It sucks Ottawa played Toronto this year rather than 2026 or 2027 (maybe that happens)

rofl TOR media are so pathetic, when TOR face plants vs TBL or FLA in round 2 that will shut them up, as if beating OTT, the worst to 2nd worst team among the 16 playoffs team is such a grand accomplishment.

It can be a double edged sword to be fair. They'll pump the Leafs when things are good bit absolutely drag them when they aren't.

Heck even after game 1 tsn had a video asking if game one was all smoke and mirrors for the Leafs, so it can happen when they win well too.

Mathew Tkachuck 1 GP 2G 1A 3P
Brady 2 GP 1G 0A 1P

frankly someone should be fired for putting Brady back in the line up when he was not 100% just to be re-injured again in the last game of the season...

this excuse about brady needing to play before playoffs so he not "rusty" is BS, Mathew had not played since the 4 nations and had no problem getting back into the groove.
