Everyone knew that except Stan Bowman. Granted his coach deciding to completely abandon any semblance of defensive structure sure hasn't helped. This team breaks so frequently. When they put the pieces together they are very scary - but Ekholm is such a critical part of their back-end. Without him they are a disaster.

And I totally get why - Laine has been terrible the first 2 games.

Laine feasts on PP opportunities (or he did in the regular season) but his attention to detail is horrible and his 'defensive' game non-existent.
