Pacioretty in. Robertson out.

Leafs projected Game 3 lineup:

Knies — Matthews — Marner
Holmberg — Tavares — Nylander
McMann — Domi — Pacioretty
Lorentz — Laughton — Järnkrok

McCabe — Tanev
Rielly — Carlo
Benoit — Ekman-Larsson

If they are going to remove Robertson, they should at least move Patches or McMann up with JT/Nylander.

That line could be better 5v5 IMO.

- Archaic

They aren't generating much so far - but in game 1 when Domi was on the line for the first half, they were absolutely caved in and generated nothing. They swapped out Holmberg and the line fared much better but still failed to really generate much. Last game they were mediocre, but again didn't really generate a lot of threatening chances.

I think that line is going to go as Nylander goes and until he decides that he wants to be dangerous and own that line I'm not sure if it matters who's on the left side. Holmberg is at least providing some defensive responsibility, winning board battles and trying to make things happen (not succeeding, but trying). I'm no Holmberg fan but I've liked him so far in the playoffs.

I don't know what Patches has to offer after not playing for several months - but if it's some more physical play and less overt and stupid giveaways it can only help whatever line he's on.

When Holmberg had that breakaway I groaned. Of course it would be him.

I hit the range yesterday after doing indoor simulators all winter.

Couldn't hit a ball to save my life.

You know it's bad when you keep looking at the yardage markers, shaking your head and muttering, "That can't be right."

- Atomic Wedgie

Same Wedgie.

Played simulators once a week this winter. Got out on the real course and sprayed the ball everywhere. Big problem was my short game. I was long and in trouble all day

I once called in sick because a raccoon had trapped itself in our daughters' little backyard softball hitting net.

That was a fun morning.

Especially for the Toronto Animal Services worker who got bit while she was freeing the filthy animal.

Hah, same

Except mine was a hockey net, and a skunk!

The same, skunk in garage, messed in wires from automatic door opener.
I had to cut wires to release him, he would die otherwise. It was fun.

I learned you just have to go total aggro, roaring at them in guttural rage, then they back off. I learned that from dog training lol

I’m a huge Patches fan.

He plays the right way. He runs guys over and makes smart plays with the puck.

From the Athletic:

Pacioretty lines up on a third line with Bobby McMann and Max Domi and will also join the No. 2 power-play unit. A costly penalty in Game 2, along with the fact that he’s produced only a single shot and no goals in two games, knocked Robertson out.

I liked that Robertson was throwing his tiny body around, but if you don't bring offense, you don't get to stick.

I just did that for 2 coyotes me and the pup ran into on one of our walks last week. Pitch dark, frankers came right at us so I did exactly as you mention above. They kept coming but gave us a wide-ish birth, like 4 feet. Then sauntered on down the path. I think they were hunting Canada Geese and/or the million rabbits we have running around.

Max Power line unite!

While i usually don't like to go against the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" belief, or messing with a team that's winning, I think good coaching means making moves like these if it improves the team and it's chances, to better match up with fit and situational needs. Max P shoots and hits, that alone is more than what Roberts Son brings.

Yeah man. The coyotes are crawling all over the place.

It's like when you correct your dog firmly, you put a bit of growl in your voice, they hear that.

Our dog is a mini schnauzer so the plan is pick her up, and go off like a wrestling promo. Airhorn works good too.
