Youre not replacing the 100 points that Panarin puts up with Othmann and Edstrom... hell the entire bottom 6 combined wont score 100 points. - aecliptic
We need others to take the reins.
Miller with Cuylle
Trocheck and Laf
Kreider and Perrault maybe?
Rangers will be much more defensive next season and lower scoring games |

Im not interested in moving Panarin unless, a. Marner is available and we sign him or b. were out of it at the deadline.

This whole replacing points nonsense has to stop. Regular season points mean nothing and you don’t need to have a 100 pt player to make/win in the playoffs. Can someone use the search and find that post I made about how many teams have won a cup with a 100 pt regular season player on the roster? You don’t need to “replace” points. Wtf has Panarin getting us 100 regular season pts gotten us so far?? If Panarin leaving means more ice time, more PP time for a guy like Laf who can add 15-20 pts next year, and more pts for a guy like Cuylle who will get more ice time etc, it’s worth it. Panarin’s style of play, along with Zib and what Kreider has turned into is EXACTLY what is wrong with this team.
I miss the days of Kreider running goalies and throwing guys into the boards sticking up for his teammates |

How’s this trade
Panarin to SJ
-talked into it by Goodrow lol, plays with cellebrini
Rangers get pick 28OA and Mario Ferraro and ultimately what they really need, cap space

I get it, its the Billy Beane philosophy. To some extent I agree. But none of those guys are top 6 players... theyre not scoring 90, 80 or even 70 points. You gotta have someone you can rely on in the top 6. However, trading him and not having a suitable replacement could mean not worrying about the playoffs at all because we wont make it. |

I think you’re undervaluing him a bit. He’s still a very good player, and player some teas could use. Unfortunately for us, we have TOO MANY of those types of players.
Look at what Brock Nelson got at the deadline. 1st, Calum Ritchie (he was a 1st round pick in 2023) and a 3rd.
I think we’d maximize his value at the deadline, but I’d be ok with moving him now depending on the return. |

Isn’t JT Miller that 80/90 pt guy now?
Zib, if he’s still here is still good for 60-70 pts.
It’s time for some of these young kids to get a chance. What we need more than anything is a 2C IMO if they’re not going to put Zib back there |

Im hoping Zib goes back to C, we need it badly. We also need Selke candidate Zib, not whatever this garbage was that we saw last year.
Kids do need to be given a chance, but we also need a lot of help on the back end. |

I think with the recent decline in the rest of the team this past season losing Panarin hurts, but I could see a lot of pros in moving him.
Kreider Zib Panarin all being moved would basically be getting rid of this core fully.

To play with Cellebrini he might. And who cares what he wants, it’s Chris Drury. He pulls off miracles |

Maybe we could get more, very possible. The scandal thing is the fly in the ointment, does it scare teams away? It’s has hurdles which could keep the return down. I just think the rangers team needs to move on from his era. He’s the main piece of the last 3 years that couldn’t get it done |

I think mutual parting of the ways will happen with Panarin. Where he’ll work with Drury on where to get traded. If you think about it, he owes them after the hush money thing that went public
Everyone is speculating “big moves “ for the Rangers and to me, Kreider isn’t big enough for that headline |

I thought it was Celebrini, but whatever.
Either way, 32 year old Panarin couldnt care less about playing with a 20 year old stud. He wants to win. |

The idea that NMC stops Drury from doing anything with that player, is silly. He just got past two of them in a 3 month period |
