Not sure how it's going to work out but I wonder if Drury is going to kick the tires on Jonathan Towes. Could be a good low cost potential 3C that would also add some veteran leadership to the team.

Here’s the plan:

Trade for Will smith from SJ since they’re gonna get misa it seems

Trade up with Utah to take hagens

Move smith to RW.

Perreault plays with his 2 college centers forever

Perreault Hagens Smith

- picklerick

Smith is already playing majority of time on wing, so I don't see why they'd trade him regardless of who they draft this year.

Now if there is a hockey trade that bring in a stud young d-men, then maybe they look at making a hockey move by trading one of their younger forwards

Have a feeling Grier is just going to wait things out for a bit yet before making drastic trades including young talent.

One Braden Schneider could be of interest.

You'd think if Toews was serious about a comeback that he'd go to the Worlds.

Unless he already has a deal in place, but you'd think it would be a perfect place to show teams whether or not he's ready to go. Heck, even him as a player if he can't make it through the worlds maybe he'd just hang them up instead of looking for a contract.

Are we saying mika is moving to wing permanently?

I believe that’s his destiny. He didn’t suck anymore on Millers wing. It’s just a fact

And I think Jusso has a leg up for 3C, otherwise he wasn’t really necessary to play wing. So center it is

I wonder if he doesn't want a full summer to train and get back into that rhythm, work with trainer, skate with fellow players etc and see where he's at. Would be hard to go from zero competition to worlds especially after his time off, but think it could be an intriguing addition to a team which could use some leadership and if he can bring some flashes of the past would be a solid 3C.

It might be painful but Schneider for Byram should be explored by both teams, in some fashion. Adding sweeteners etc.

Buffalo needs a top 4 RHD and obviously Rangers need top 4 LHD.

Oooooor Schneider moves to the left side kinda would have to be permanent for now

This is neither an endorsement or rejection of this trade but merely an observation that this would seemingly make our defense smaller and less physical. I know people are concerned about this.

Yea I get it. Idk how we get “that guy” for Fox tho. UFA is too expensive and teams don’t trade defenseman for no valid reason.

Well, if you swap Byram <> Schneider, then pick up Hague. It makes it work.

Hague, Fox
Byram, Borgen
Soucy, ______

The whole situation is a bit odd. There seems to be a lot of things he could do to get into a rhythm. Even signing with an AHL club on a PTO just to practice with them. Spengler cup could've been an option, now the worlds.

Just seems that with every passing day he's kind of hurting himself from getting a legit

Have to think any team that does take him on, isn't exactly counting on him doing much. Hasn't played in two years and even then it was just 7 games at end of the year after missing a couple months.

Tough for any athlete to come back after that long of a layoff from their sport at his age. He is smart player though, so that will help him to some degree

Well hes there, so gotta deal with it. Ideally for me, Id want to sign Luke Schenn for 3RD, and get Lauzon from Preds for 3LD in that situation.

I predict Brian Dumolin. He has two cups with Sullivan and is a UFA I think

I don't think he is the solution to be Fox's partner, but this isn't a bad idea...
