Suppose it gets nuclear and he finds a way to move on from Panarin, Zib and Kreider. What is that like 27 million in cap space - Slimtj100
You trust Drury to make it better with 27mil of cap space? |

Yep….where would they be with Goodrow and Trouba still on the books? (frank)ed is where they would be. He knows what is doing |

With Goodrow and Trouba on the books we likely still make the playoffs ……. The biggest reason for this seasons torpedo was the players no longer wanted to play fr this organization/Drury/Lavy. That all circles back to him getting rid of/how he got rid of Trouba and Goodrow, 2 veteran leaders and then publicly said he’s willing to get rid of everyone else including Kreider. Not the best way to motivate people to play hard for you ….. |

Ok so those 2 cost you Cuylle? I mean why do people not see the benefits of that all happening. He had the goalie and the 1st OA pick to sign aswell
They punted the season I don’t know what else to tell you |

He may suck in the playoffs. But he also has helped the team reach the playoffs several straight seasons until this one. Plus he had the GWG versus Pittsburgh in Game 7 in OT. I know everyone is down in Panarin and rationale why makes sense. But if he goes, his offense will be missed, cognizant that everyone expects the kids to make up for what he leaves. - airjan23
Not to mention, he’s nearly a point per game player in the playoffs. That’s not the definition of sucking in the playoffs…

I was being sarcastic by the way. Because that was always a Brukie thing, “Panarin sucks in the playoffs” |

There’s just narratives thrown out there that are point blank false. He might not be the type of player that some want in the playoffs, but he doesn’t suck.
If someone has to go, fine, but whatever offense leaves needs to be replaced. An 80+ point player is difficult to replace. I’d rather Drury focus on the blue line and give the offense a chance to redeem itself. Team defense, team chemistry and commitment are what need to be improved. Sully should be able to bring the room back together. |

Didn’t we replace his points when we got Miller though?? |

TOR could be in trouble if Stolarz misses the series. Concussion likely for him, throwing up on the bench. |

Is it better or worse to have two players putting up points like that?
Edit: Not saying he doesn’t need to improve either. It drives me nuts how much he plays on the perimeter. But hopefully Sully & Co. change this. |

I don't even know why they are doing this whole game day decision bullpoop.
Isn't there a concussion protocol of 7 days?
This isn't he took a bump and it was too late to come back to the game as he was with the doctors being checked out. Guy gets hit twice in head in same game, pukes on bench and then taking off in a stretcher to the hospital. Should be automatic 7 day rest. |

I think the east west identity more than anything. And there no more of an east west player in the NHL as Panarin imo. Hes a great player, it hasn’t nothing to do with that. And yea, Sullivan factor too, I could see them not getting along.
Rangers need to promote these kids into the middle 6 too. Or else they’ll be like Kakko, all pissy |

They also need to not rush the young guys. It’s the NY sports team trap. Just let these kids grow up a little before declaring they’re done in the league. |

Othmann and Berard need to be in the middle 6. Perrault they can wait probably. That’s where I lean. They desperately need those ELCs in the lineup and othmann and Berard, imo, are good enough for every game roles.
Bottom 6
Othmann- Jusso OR player x - Berard
Edstrom - Carrick - Rempe

It’s why Kreider being traded makes the most sense. Use his cap to bolster the D. |

What about Kreider to Nash, Mtl, Philly or CBJ. Get a team with two first rders this year and get one of them with a prospect or more picks, lets them give the pick to the pens without hesitation and they can move on from a lot of things
2 years of Kreider is probably an easy sell where you could get a first and more for Kreids. He gets a full summer to heal too |

I just want you to understand something… people here arent disagreeing with you that it would be nice to shed some salary. Its the means by which youre doing it that people with logic and reason dont fly with. |
