I don’t think he’s getting surgery/hurt. Would’ve come out by now. In my opinion, the league has figured him out, he’s a 1 trick pony. Play physical against him, target him with hits and he hates it. Multiple people have come out and said that’s how teams game plan against him. He doesn’t have the speed a guy like Quinn Hughes has, doesn’t have the shot like Makar. Not saying he’s a bad player; but he’s a creative East West player that’s best when he has time and space to dance around on the ice. Unfortunately I think teams have figured that out and don’t give him that time and space anymore, there’s no shot to be afraid of from the point and there’s no worrying about him blowing past you with his speed. Get in his face and get physical with him is how you take away that speed and creativity. - nyrangers9479
Probably partially explains it. He still had a solid season based on his metrics but to the eye he looks to have 10% less foot speed which makes me think something is nagging. |

Certain players can overcome that based on their own size (Fox is small), speed (McDavid Q. Hughes etc) or having other variables (Makar with his shot) etc etc. Fox’s variable is his creativity. But creativity requires open ice and space, something teams have learned to take away from him and he hasn’t been able to overcome that IMO. - nyrangers9479

So will the value of the offer he's given for an extension, I hope. - Tonybere
To be honest, I think Drury is hoping for an offer sheet here. Just to tender Key Miller is pushing $4.5M for one year. Until players are moved out, there is no cap space here. |

Interested to see if Sullivan can find a way to create space for Fox. |

Really what he needs is more puck support from forwards in his own end. |

Sullivan will help alot of players imo and hopefully Fox is one of them. He hasn’t looked like the Norris trophy guy in a long time |

#NYR D K'Andre Miller had surgery for a upper-body injury, according to a league source. Will be back around the start of the regular season.
Injury occurred near the end of this past season, tried to rehab it but surgery was ultimate decision.
Miller is an RFA. - jimbro83
Yet Lavy refused to play DeHaan. Don't know if they play the same side. |

Fox just didn't seem as mobile this season, almost tentative. |

Wouldn’t be surprised to hear an announcement on a NHL CBA extension during Stanley Cup Final. |

Puck support and breakouts were headscratchers this season. I hardly ever saw any other Ranger on the screen when their D had the puck behind their own net. Every player sprinted to the Red line leaving the puck carrier alone with Igor or Quick.
No support, no team breakouts. That equates to a disaster waiting to happen. And when it was Key Miller that had the puck, it usually did. |

Where's Vlad with the insider info. Isn't he the one who works for surgeons? - MeltingPlastic
Lol. I havent been over to that Dr's place in a while.
But one of the other Dr's I used to work with, who I did Roope Hintz's surgery with, did Joel Eriksson Ek's core muscle surgery this week. |

If he doesn’t do this for us next season (if he’s here) then he should be tarred and feathered - picklerick

He is more squared up with the net than on the outside of it from where he has been shooting. |

Were not gonna get anything of value for them, and I dont see Carolina being the kind of team helping a rival with a cap dump. |
