Sam Bennett is getting at least 8 million a year as a UFA so don’t give him 5 million a year in your rosters lol |

I don’t understand why people would be down on Boeser. Hes a good hockey player. Had 40 goals last year
He’s a 28 year old FA too. So more prime years
I think Parsinen will be the 3C where they won’t spend anymore money there |

Boeser at a reasonable price sure. But in a weak UFA class where the cap is jumping and many teams will have money to spend. I just feel Boeser will cost way more than what he is worth |

I think all these guys are getting paid. The prices are going up without a doubt.
They really need to find a way to move Breadman, Zib and Kreider. That would be wild lol |

Not that he was terrible (Thompson), but I always thought they were a pretender because of goaltending. They couldn’t score like we couldn’t score tho. Ovie was a no show |

For me, he was a -25 this year and a -20 two years ago. I honestly haven’t watched him play. But to me that means he is bad at defense. Not worth that much money. |

I actually have no idea if he is or not, was just going off +/-. I wonder what explains those numbers though if he is a good defender. |

Crosby was a -20 last year, does that mean hes a bad defensive player?
Boeser was a -25 this year, but he was a +23 last year. Crap happens. Nucks all around were just not very good this year. |

Again, not coming to any conclusions based on this one stat. But he was the worst on the Nucks this year. And was second worst on the Nucks two years ago. That doesn’t scream 8.5M a year on a long term deal to me. |

So when Panarin is a +15 or +20, does that mean hes an elite defensive player?
The only thing the - tells me is that he's the best defensive forward they have and is always matched up against other teams top lines. Nucks goalies are a combined 3.43 GAA, Boeser is a -20. Demko settles in and has a good year, Boeser is +23, Demko is mostly hurt and Nucks run a rotation of Lankinen, Silovs and Demko, hes a -25. Ill give him the benefit of the doubt. |

If Panarin (or anyone else) had those numbers, it doesn’t mean they are an elite defensive player, but it does mean that their offense outweighs their defense to make it worth it.
For the rest of your comment I can’t reply because I just don’t know enough about the Canucks game.
I know plus minus is a flawed stat and you shouldn’t make decisions based solely on that. It just would worry me giving him a long term high money contract. I could be completely wrong. |
