Matthew Tkachuk is such a scumbag POS pushing Hedman after the whistle into Vasi when Vasi was already down covering the puck hoping to hurt one or both of them. Of course then (as always) he won’t answer for it just skates around pushing guys and hiding behind refs.

Go back and do some homework. I wanted to play the Senators in the 1st round the entire time. I knew the Leafs history of owning the Senators is the same as the Bruins owning the Leafs.

That doesn't mean that Ottawa has been easy though because they do deserve credit for their effort. They forecheck hard, they control the play, they play tough and two games went to OT. The Leafs have done well to capitalize on their PP (which has usually failed them in the playoffs) because Ottawa's fatal flaw is they do take way too many penalties. The referees have also been calling more penalties than they usually do in the playoffs which Leafs fans always complained about against Boston.

Leafs did much better in game 3 at controlling more of the 5v5 play and keeping the shot total even lower, especially considering they were on the road. They must continue to do that to finish this series off. But the last two games have obviously been tight contests that needed OT so nobody, especially the Leafs, should expect Ottawa to just quit. They're going out to either win or bang up the Leafs trying. It's not just about ending the series, it's about escaping without major injuries in the process.

If the Leafs can finish off the Senators tonight (it's the Leafs, so they'll probably take a night off because Leafs), it at least gives them the opportunity for Florida and Tampa Bay to beat each other up a bit more while they can rest up from some knocks they likely picked up from the very aggressive Senators.

Ottawa doesn't deserve medals but the Leafs need to still be aware that the job isn't done yet because this Ottawa team won't just roll over. They need to bring the same intensity. We've seen this Leafs team lay off the gas when they think it's going to be easy and it bites them in the ass. We don't need the up 3-1 vs Montreal bullcrap coming back and making this a game 7.

We’re cheering for two rivals to kick the snot out of each other because we know we at best have a 50/50 chance of beating either of them in the second round. I guess we’re no worse than most fanbases, still pretty sad either way.

Ottawa is just our practice squad. This series means absolutely nothing unless the Sens comeback somehow. It’s probably Florida, Carolina, then Colorado/Dallas/Winnipeg in the finals.

The series not being over means the Leafs have to keep their foot on the gas. Just because they were up 2-0 doesn't mean the series was over. 2 out of the 3 games went to OT. If you've been a Leafs fan for more than 5 minutes you'd know they never make anything easy on themselves.

If you believed the leafs actual play you'd understand it was. You were just hedging so if Sens won in game 3 you can come here and say "see I told you so!" You rather the leafs lose than win just so you can be right.

I guess if the only thing that matters is winning a cup, then you’ll abandon everything to get there.

I’m pretty much there because I don’t think there’s anything they could do that would diminish the authenticity of winning. Knies could take off his skate and stab someone with it and I wouldn’t really care.

But to be completely honest, I’d prefer sports to remain gentlemanly, and not rely on shadenfreude for enjoyment. I might be one of the last holdout who watch sports simply for the honour. I refuse to get into sports betting for this reason.
