There is no good way to resolve this situation. I am not sure yet about Mathews, but Nylander and Marner are not effective in playoffs and it is not going to change in any future. But Leafs need them to make playoffs.

Both are extended on full NMC's, the third doesn't have a contract.

Marner is the one looking for one of the biggest contracts in the league right now and in his show you he's worth it moment is doing what he consistently does every single time a series is on the line. Absolutely nothing.

It's about not continuing to pay top dollar for guys that cannot do it, not undoing what's been done.

Maybe, but no way they're getting out of the 2nd round. They're dead last in 5v5 chances in the playoffs.

They kind of fluked their way in game 1's lopsided victory, then the rest could've gone either way, now tonight, OTT has all the momentum and this team has huge loser energy. Maybe we'll squeak out a win, but this team isn't doing anything.

It's time to bring the Great Woll of Toronto into the series. He's a much better puck controller than Stolarz. Also, out with Patches, in with Robertson and swap Holmberg out for Kampf.
