Leafs need to make some roster changes for game 6.

Knies Matthews Marner
Jarnkrok Tavares Robertson
Pacioretty Domi Nylander
Lorentz Kampf Reaves

It’s hard to take McMann out, but he’s been so bad.

- Tanooki

I don’t hate this
Except Laughton stays in for Kampf

If the Leafs somehow blow this series it will be the most epic collapse among epic collapses of a team known for their epic collapses.

There is a small window of opportunity for this team to flip the script, rewrite some of their own history, and make themselves out to be winners. 1-13 in series clinching games has to sting. I know it hurts the hell out of me and I'm just a fan.

Should this team not turn things around change has to be on the table:

- bye Shanny
- bye Marner
- bye J.T.
- consider dealing both Nylander and Reilly
- build around Matthews (yes, I know he's a part of this but first line generational goal scoring talents don't grow on trees. Remember the pain of no C depth after Sundin left?)
- build around Knies - this kid is all heart and balls
- build around the goaltending
- keep improving the defence

I know a lot of people are preaching patience.....still. The time for waiting is over.

No Cup or Cup finals since 1967
4 Conference Finals appearances in the last 50 years
An embarrassing history of failure and collapse

Enough is enough. Win or GTFO now.

I still think the Leafs got this.

But my, from an entertainment point of view, this is great.

- Scabeh

Right?!

Love the Leafs for this. Anyone reading a recap of Leafs history would think it is pure fiction.

Maybe Leafs need a fictional coach. Where’s Ted Lasso?

My buddy brought Modelo to watch the game with me. Not sure which spoiled the night more, that poop ass Mexican garbage water or the Core-5's play.

The series goes on cant handle the pressure disease is incredible.

Again, 34/16 rack up points in gm 1-4 ..once you can eliminate a team....they turn into Jay Mclemment

just wild to watch over and over

He's been injured all year is my guess. Never looked right after the mysterious specialist he saw overseas.
- gravyface

He’s always (frank)ing injured or sick. Maybe it’s a mental issue. I blame his hair loss.

I could def see Adam choosing his friends based on what they bring to watch a game.

(frank)ing loved that show.

Still don't see where they go from there for season 4 as it was clearly a three seasons arc but... love it.

Modelo is an alright summer beer. Chugging dragon stouts on a 30 degree day doesn't do it for me.

I have a Habs fan "friend" who is chirping the Leafs..for losing 2 games.

what are the rules on that when your team is down 3-1?

Well the Habs are a young rebuilding team who surprisingly made the playoffs.

You can chirp him back because Montreal might easily lose in 5 and it's all fair game, especially with Montembeault and Carrier out but since everything that happens from now on is just gravy for the fans and learning for the young players... it's likely not gonna hurt him much.

I still fully expect this team to get past Ottawa, but this series has exposed that this core 4 just doesn't have the killer instinct needed to be a great team. We all knew there was a distinct stats drop off in games 5-7. We all knew there was an abysmal record in potential clinching games. And the script has played out exactly as expected.

Obviously, the future is Matthews and Knies. It is insanity to let Marner walk, but realistically what is the alternative? We know his next contract is likely going to be $14M with a full NMC, so now we're locked into an underproducing core 3 for the next forever?

We can have a discussion about how Nylander is overpaid and underproducing, same thing for Matthews. But the reality is the team has committed to them long term and there is nothing you can do. Nylander isn't waiving. Rielly isn't waiving. And you're not going to try to move your newly minted Captain.

If Shanny has a job after this year I'll be shocked/livid (assuming the Leafs don't magically make it to at least the third round).

That applied to the whole damn team. Jeez, Giminez started off well, but has gone stone cold. Nice to see Vladdy hit a dinger. This team gave me a LITTLE hope early on, but have come back to earth. Man, being a Toronto sports fan is just non-stop misery

Sorry why is the future matthews?
Hes great in the reg season, but isnt very good come playoff time
1 goal this series
1 goal vs boston
0 goals vs Florida
So like 2 goals in the last 14 playoff games

Did very well in the last tampa series but vasy was a hot mess, almost every leaf did well.
4 goals vs tampa in 21/22...thats good.
1 goal vs montreal

Not good enough for the highest paid player in the league imo.

Oh for sure. Not a single clutch hitter on the team. We needed two big bats and two starters this past off season. Got one bat (whos sucked so far) and a disable starter.
Trading hernandez was the biggest mistake this team made.
