now that's a good question, is he always injured coming into the playoffs? - Symba007
Well he's also a drug addict per AA's boss. I mean, can you ever trust a man with that mustache? |

(frank)ing loved that show.
Still don't see where they go from there for season 4 as it was clearly a three seasons arc but... love it. - Scabeh
The good news is that the cast is so strong it should still be good, even if the plot gets a little thin... |

Gonna have to disagree Fakesies. I hated the writing, particularly the dialogue, in Shrinking. |

Mythic Quest was good to great (S3 is a bit of a mess), but they cancelled it on a cliffhanger
Streaming only shows have me on the defensive because they always cancel them early and seem to greenlight poop randomly with no plans and then cancel them faster than greenlighting. |

For All Mankind is outstanding.
It is an alternate history show that attempts to project what would have happened if the Russians won the space race. Basically, the world powers become much more focussed on their space programs. There is very well written drama and human story lines throughout and the main characters age as the story progresses over decades.

Sorry why is the future matthews?
Hes great in the reg season, but isnt very good come playoff time
1 goal this series
1 goal vs boston
0 goals vs Florida
So like 2 goals in the last 14 playoff games
Did very well in the last tampa series but vasy was a hot mess, almost every leaf did well.
4 goals vs tampa in 21/22...thats good.
1 goal vs montreal
Not good enough for the highest paid player in the league imo. - Fakepartofme
He is a generational goal scorer, could literally be the highest scoring player ever. Sure, the results haven't been there in the playoffs, but I think the Leafs can build a better team around him to bring success. Knies is the perfect player to play with Matthews, and while Mitchy has the fancy dangles and amazing passes, he doesn't grind for the puck or create space for Matthews. Maybe there is a better option out there?
Talk of letting Marner go is a little crazy. Talk of trading Matthews is pure insanity. |

They already jumped the shark. I'm sure it will be well acted and shot, but the story is done and season 3 was really stupid if you have any idea about sports as a concept, let alone soccer. |

Don’t worry, when you get older, you’ll pretty much neglect your friends and you’ll have no desire to make new ones. |

Like i said, hes great in the reg season, no question. The past 9 years have shown he mostly disappears when it counts. Hoping that changes.
We'll see.

I still fully expect this team to get past Ottawa, but this series has exposed that this core 4 just doesn't have the killer instinct needed to be a great team. We all knew there was a distinct stats drop off in games 5-7. We all knew there was an abysmal record in potential clinching games. And the script has played out exactly as expected.
Obviously, the future is Matthews and Knies. It is insanity to let Marner walk, but realistically what is the alternative? We know his next contract is likely going to be $14M with a full NMC, so now we're locked into an underproducing core 3 for the next forever?
We can have a discussion about how Nylander is overpaid and underproducing, same thing for Matthews. But the reality is the team has committed to them long term and there is nothing you can do. Nylander isn't waiving. Rielly isn't waiving. And you're not going to try to move your newly minted Captain.
If Shanny has a job after this year I'll be shocked/livid (assuming the Leafs don't magically make it to at least the third round). - Whipper
If they continue to play the way they did last night we won't have to worry about the 2nd round.
This would be what, 7 first round playoff series losses for this group with half of them being in epic fashion?
I don't know any other environment where this type of failure would be tolerated.
