the problem with Newhook is that he's not good enough to play top6 (can't finish).
some say keep him in a checking role. well, he's not big, doesn't really bring any grit, not good on faceoffs... so difficult to slot in a defensive role.

what do you do with him?
you trade his ass.
unless you hope he can magically find a touch around the net.

I'd keep him there as well. His numbers aren't the same as Caufield or Suzuki but I think he's a very important part of that line. Gives them more space, retrieves pucks, good passer, etc.
