Personally, I think that the Canucks should pulle a Burke-Sedin at 2025 draft. find away to acquire 3 picks in the top 10 by moving Petterson, Hughes and the 15th overall pick. Sure their 2015-26 season will suck but it will set them up nicely for the McKenna sweepstakes in 2026. Could be a real quick 2-3 year rebuild if they can luck into Schaefer, Misa and McKenna

I think that's in the best interests of the organization, but whuddo I know. As I said in an earlier post, if they traded both Quinn Hughes and EP40 the returns would be good enough to start a semi-retool and reset the team.

Sherwood and Forbort were great signings, but that's a middle 6 winger and bottom pair D man option. The Canucks need to add high-end skill and potential... not getting that with those kinds of signings.

Well, not necessarily, it depends on the return for both players. They could in fact be a deeper, more well balanced team, than they are right now. Which is a very mediocre team.

No biggie. They can buy it back later in the season if need be.

For the record, I did not say "rebuild", I said "re-tool". As in, trade for players and picks, not just futures in the form of prospects and picks.
