I've already told my buddies that if they trade Hughes I'm taking my Hughes jersey in and getting the name plate changed to "Sell the team".

2-0 after an EN by Karlson.

Onto the next round.
The winner of this series will face the Pacific Division regular season champion, the Colorado Eagles, in the next round. The Eagles eliminated San Jose in four games with a 3-1 win on Wednesday night. The division final will be another best-of-five with Colorado holding home ice advantage.

tonight’s game was dominated by a superior Canucks team, Canucks came out strong in the 1st and never took their foot off the gas. Their PK was solid and they killed off all the undeserved penalties the biased referees handed out. Silovs was outstanding turning away all 29 shots by CV. The PP was dominant scoring on their 1st and continued to pressure on the other 2 awarded.

To everyone else, tonight’s game was exciting, fast paced with both teams controlling play for extended periods of time. Excellent PP goal in the 1st and then CV turned up the intensity trying to even the score, but defensively Canucks held them to the outside with most shots from bad angles. It got nerve wracking holding a 1 goal lead and CV rushing the zone and watching the Canucks chase the cycle game, but again nothing substantial came from all the cycling in the end. Silovs really was the difference, CV had 29 shots and had constant pressure in the 3rd, but just couldn’t muster that quality chance, as soon as the goalie was pulled Canucks got their 2nd by Karlsson. Although the Canucks were outshot 29-24 I thought they were the better team and deserved the win.

Next game is Friday then Sunday at home, then off to Colorado for 3 away in the best of 5 Division Finals, I have tickets already for the home games, going to be electric.

Sounds fun. I haven’t been to a Abby game yet but I’m stoked to check it out, what’s the price difference?

We were the section beside the club seats for $89, next week we are center ice in club seats at $99 because of season tickets promotion , regular $110 for general purchase.

Great atmosphere, to me worth the cost.

Awesome recap. Thanks for sharing the experience. It's such a different perspective on players watching them live. Who has surprised you?

Thanks Driftwood - nothing better than hearing your cheery attitude!

Its' wonderful to see how you can turn any positive post into a dark, negative, jaded take and its even more incredible how you can somehow turn it into being EP40s fault.

keep up the great work!

For those who don’t know the AHL PO’s it is a strange one. 23 teams 9 with byes. Abby has to win 5 series for the Calder due to the largest division.

Well to tell the truth I was surprised Lekkermaki wasn’t more of a dominant force, his shot from the slot is hard and powerful, but continually made a pass instead of taking the shot. Sassoon was flying from puck drop, DeGuisseppe was also very noticeable and hits hard. My brother was on Brisbois, there is 55 (frank)ing up clearing it out, again, lol.
Canucks overall deserved the win.

Sitting at Tsawwassen waiting to board,

Just might be, Colorado only had 2 extra pts to get top seed so I would say a good chance that Abby can win this series.

Here is to hoping you’re right đŸș

Essentially it’s a 14 team play in round & the Pacific division the only division with only 1 team with a bye. Every other division had 2-3 team 1st round byes. Only 9 of 32 teams not in the PO’s.

To be frank the Pacific is by far the larger division but the lower seeds could travel more in inter division PO play unless it’s a test for future NHL play in rounds. Idk about 3 game play in rounds but worth exploring especially with more expansion likely.

Idk if it gets any traction or not but say the NHL does adopt a play in round.

Each conference adds the 2 highest seeds that don’t make a single wild card spot dropped down to 1 team from 2 & play a best of 3 winner plays the top seed in the conference. Change the lottery to 14 teams from 16. The 2 play in losers are SOL. Redistribute the lottery odds in any fashion for all I care.

Furthermore start the regular season sooner especially if the rumour of an 84 game season comes into being. Instead of early October make it mid September. Training camp starts right after Labour day long weekend.

Ok the flood gates are open so let me have it 😂😂
