LMAO...Tochett left because he was/is a warrior and there are zero warriors in this organization.

Making a 20something vegan beta male your team captain really didn't help. I'm not a JT Miller fan AT ALL...but making him the captain would've probably been better. Instead he caved under the pressure of his big contract and the guilt got the better of him. Meanwhile Petey, Brock, whoever else...are just not captain material.
Your toughest player is a 5'5" mosquito who everyone in the league despises.

I'm sorry to see Tochett go, probably the Canucks' biggest loss...but trade Hughes while his value is high (he is elite of the elite, no doubt there) and bring in some true leadership...bring in some MEN.
There are still good pieces in Van, but I see next to no leadership in anyone.

I mean, we're still better than an organization that employs someone that condones and covers up SA.

Is this another Softwood alt, or someone from Alberta with shockingly similar logic and intelligence?

Tocchet gone bothers me not in the slightest. He’s overrated & bounced around with a few teams. He didn’t develop talent. He won the Jack Adams due to the roster having career years & couldn’t keep it on the tracks. Shelf life.

Canucks need fresh blood & new innovative coaching not retreads.

Sorry man, but every word of this is a crock. He finished with the 2nd best points percentage of any Coach in the history of the team 0.608. Led us to the best season since 2011 and 3rd best of all time. One of three Canucks Coaches to ever win the Jack Adams. Still finished this season with the 4th best points total since 2011.

The shitshow that was this season falls more on the players involved and management. I'm glad he got out. He's a Coach. Not a babysitter.

A good laugh over this. Playing down Hughes & quoting Brooks lol

If NJD ever were to get Hughes they will heavy for an elite D in Hughes.

Not disagreeing but he was in the right place at the right time. The shltshow was what it was & still more work to go.

I like RT but more went into it than only him. If he wants to bolt it’s his choice not to stick it out. As for blame I start with EP & it goes from there.

I don't think that's much to pay for Quinn Hughes.

DP so I'll add this. Hughes won the Norris trophy the year prior to this one, and he was arguably even better this year aside from the injury.

He was also surrounded by a dumpster fire. He is one of the very best players in the game. Dobson is good, and I wanted him at the draft but he is no Quinn Hughes.
