I just wanna talk hockey and not hear a bunch of political facebook crap. I used to be more understanding of Ek's eccentric ways of running the site, but it's starting to get old now.

I like some of you and would like to keep talking with you guys, but I'll probably try to make it work on hotstove and hope more of the cool people from here set up accounts over there and start posting. Some of you already did. Reddit deleted my HockeyBuzzed subreddit for reasons that are still unclear, so I won't be wasting my time doing that again.

Yeah, this would be my instaban policy: if you talk politics, you're done. It's been like this on every forum for a couple of decades now: every single one has a "no racism, no hate speech, no politics", Pretty simple to adhere to, does not detract away from the topic on hand.

You wanna troll other teams? I don't really care about that, most are so juvenile and boring and silly it's kind of hilarious, even being on the receiving end of endless "lol maple laffs, 1967, plan the parade.. .yadda yadda" for about 45 years, as long as I've been watching.

The problem with the Leafs trying revenge or pre-venge is they get called for it. Clifford, Kadri, Rielly, Matthews, Atomic_Wedgie etc.

They've already diminished the Leafs chances for a fair Cup run. We're down to one oft prone to injury goalie who let's in ill-timed softees and a b/u that isn't ready.

League won't address it, Leafs should. And losing Reaves for the rest of the playoffs won't hurt. Losing another key player will.

Even if the Leafs parked Reaves in front of Bob and waited for somebody to initiate contact so that he could "fall" on top of Bob, that would only spark the Panthers to start targeting Matthews, Marner, Nylander and every other soft target in a cycle of retaliation.

The Leafs don't have the horses to run that race. These aren't the days of having six or seven guys who could hit and fight back like in the 90s.

The Leafs have to go out there, beat them to the puck, draw the penalties and make them pay on the scoreboard. Anything else is a game the Leafs can't win.
