Tough loss. Time for Matthews to start showing up, what is it, 3 goals in the last 20 playoff games?

Misery loves company……

Get it together boys the series is tied 2-2 and we have home ice advantage. Act like a fan and not like an old doom and gloom fart.

Fans can’t get out of their own head just like the leafs. Let’s turn the page on this narrative.

Tell me we’re 2-2 going back to the Toronto a week ago and I’ll take that all day.

Well, unless you thought the Leafs were taking it in 4 games I’d say we’re in pretty good shape with home ice advantage.

Matthews is obviously injured and is doing the best he can.

I tried that. Doesn’t work.

Anyone watching the games can see.. Florida has been grinding them down.. Game 3 they were not good but today other than a couple of players they had no compete. Woll made this game look close.

Mathews/Marner/Knies were worse this game than last
Tavares line was invisible except for the odd Nylander spurt

The 5 man power play should have never seen the ice again this game after that pathetic showing in the 2nd period(I think it was the 2nd).

The Leafs have morphed right before our eye into the Sheldon Keefe Leafs.

On the bright side Woll was excellent. Berube will have the boys ready to play.

I believe this to be true.

Such a hard thing to accept. Everything was aligning for this to be the year. It still could be, but injuries are starting to take a toll. There’s a few guys who are absolutely critical for success. Tanev being the most. Then Mitch.

You just can’t win in the playoffs without playing a defence-first game. You can’t just wheel around and trade chances.

The Leafs need to learn how to play dirty, how to go down when you're elbowed (Marner), feign injury when you get hammered in the back by a launching Marchand.

1: Pretty sure he was looking to get the puck in the air and collided with the goaltender.

2: I don't know if a penalty was called on the play but a penalty should have been called on the play.

But that's just another classic example of Panthers' sneaky dirty stuff. Like they have to talk about it, work on it, they're too good at it to not be actively looking to inflict as much injury as possible with the least amount of fanfare.

It's never an egregious, emotional response, it's always a subtle attempt to injure while drawing the least amount of attention.

Except the Leafs outhit Florida so no, it's not a case of Florida "grinding them down" and the Leafs just taking it and not pushing back as in previous years.

The Leafs offense was pretty much invisible last night and they were outworked often but the parade to the penalty box in the 1st was a problem.

Woll was fantastic but to your point outside of a few flashes from Willy and Knies there was no real offense. Marner yet again with zero SOG - if he's going to play the point on PP1 he needs to get shots through or be moved off the point it's that simple. He put shots into shinpads WAY too many times last night - which makes no sense since he's supposed to be the elusive / shifty superstar worth 13M + (newsflash he can't seem to do that come playoffs which makes his worth < guys who can like Willy or Miko Rantenan).

It was a tough game to watch but the good news is they were a good bounce and a breakaway or 2 being goals vs saves away from being right there or winning that game.

If they can be that close and lose by a late 2nd goal when playing that bad then IMO there is no reason to not think they can't beat Florida in the now 3 of 5 game series when they have home ice.

Not the best game. Panthers finally got them stuck in the mud after some open space in the previous 3. Need to fix the power kill, outside of that blip against the Sens it has been poop.

Everyone’s opinions are just that, opinions.

Why do you think there’s millions of people who listen to Joe Rogan and believe whatever he says? Hint, it’s not because they’re smart and he’s informing them.

So love or hate whatever player you want, but at the end of the day everyone is biased and goes on “feeling” usually before they delve into the factual side of anything.

Marner is worth whatever a team is willing to pay him. Rantanen is worth 12M.

No one expected the Leafs to win 4 straight. So much negativity, you guys are like a bunch of high school girls. Go Leafs!
