Agreed Rantanen has been better than Matthews and Marner.

Matthews by all accounts is playing hurt so he gets some leeway I guess but as the guy wearing the C and the highest paid Leaf he needs to do more regardless. Florida has had the luxury of essentially playing against him like he's a really good defensive 3C because he just cant' seem to find the back of the net.

If he suddenly starts to do so this entire thing should be much easier for the Leafs.

The Leafs need to learn how to play dirty, how to go down when you're elbowed (Marner), feign injury when you get hammered in the back by a launching Marchand.

They shouldn’t have cut this clip off so quickly, they should’ve shown Marner staggering and stumbling as he tried to skate away from that vicious elbow for full effect of how bad it was. But all of the tweeters/you tubers ranting about this play chose to cut the highlight short.
Perhaps it ends right there to not show how he looks at ref, sees no arm up, and just straightens up and skates away like nothing really touched him. I’d like to see it again to be sure, but for some reason you can’t find a longer clip anywhere. Embellishment like Rodrigues?

There’s opinions, and there’s facts. Even if he sticks to facts (he doesn’t) he still has guests on whose whole existence is to discredit facts and history and substitute it with their own lies that supports their agenda. When Joe gets called out on his show by people like Douglas Murray his entire structure of influence starts to fall apart.

This type of lying, deceit, and rewriting of facts and history is straight out of the fascist playbook.

Florida played better than the leafs and deserved the win.

Leafs are starting to look a little like Florida with their style of play but not as dirty. I would love to see Matthews, Marner or nylander get dirty but it’s just not in their dna.


Leafs still have some toughness in their lineup and as much as I hated Tanevs 2 on 1 play that Bennett scored on has been a beauty.


I’m not to worried yet. Leafs haven’t brought their best yet….. hopefully they can last long enough to bring it.
