The lines Matthews, Marner, and Knies are up against also aren’t producing. Matthews is clearly hurt, focusing 100% on defence. It sucks but it is what it is.

And why does everyone just ignore the positive things I say about Willy? It’s like you’s don’t even want to a conversation in good faith. Not you so much, but everyone else.

You just can’t tell me that Willy is doing everything he can to help the team win. He’s scoring goals up until the last couple games, but everyone puts blinders on when it comes to his defending. He won’t take a hit to make a play, he won’t get in shooting lanes to block shots, he won’t challenge anyone with the puck in the defensive zone. Just little stick lifts.
