I’m not as down on Miller as most. I’ve repeatedly said trading him would be a mistake, but I guess I’m still overvaluing him 🤷♂️ - nyrangers9479
You are undervaluing Coronato, who Calgary just signed long term and believe could be a 30+ goal scorer. |

Every few days he wakes up and decides to spout off like 3 or 4 tweets and they’re always super negative and worded like only a maniac would speak. Check out his twitter |

I agree in many ways. I will say, he was one of the most noticeable players on the ice in OT vs Canada. His one shot in OT is in the back of the next if it’s an inch higher. |

Another Presidents trophy winner makes an exit. Its just shows it not that important. |

It's just bragging rights for a week or two. No point to it...more of a curse really...like being on an EA Sports cover; though, AM has been on it twice recently. |

Idk I think it’s tough for one player to dominate against a team like the Panthers. Need your whole roster to be able to push back. Imagine him on the Panthers though? He’d have so much more space and be able to do Matthew’s things.
Toronto and the Rangers need to mimic their roster construction as best as they can. |

Until a different team wins and then everyone tries to copy that formula. That just ends up with teams overpaying for ufas from the previous years winner (see goodrow, barclay). Don’t chase other teams that will do what they do better than you. Build the best version of your own team |

I had that thought too. Every few years it seems like a different formula is the big thing. Regardless I think there are components of the Panthers that every cup winner needs to win. Guess it’s more, how do you find the right team structure to counter Florida without necessarily copying them? |

You need to find the guys before they become “the guys” or else you’ll never be able to build a team under the cap |

TB did it similarly also. Big heavy team that played physical. They lost their entire 3rd line, Coleman Gourde Goodrow once Vasilevsky contract kicked in and haven’t won since. |

Coleman is 5’11, gourde 5’9, and goodrow 6’2. Not exactly behemoths. They checked a bunch but they mainly won because kucherov, point, Stamkos, hedman, vasi |

Lets say its as a 3rd pair guy, who can and still does play top minutes, does it really bother you that much? - aecliptic
Why would you want Dumo? He's been pretty bad for the last few years.

You don't have to be a big guy in this league to play a big hard checking game. Look at Marchand his whole career. Tiny guy but he will throw his body around and play tough (and dirty) when needed.

Hard physical checking line.
Sergachev 6’3 215
Hedman 6’7 245
Schenn 6’2 225
Cernak 6’4 230
McDonagh 6’2 220
Rutta 6’3 205
Stop, they were a big hard hitting physical team |

Ok that's fair. Those guys on the 3rd line weren't big but they played big though IMO.

Yes, that was a huge part of it, they haven’t won since Vasilevsky contract kicked in and a big part of why they couldn’t afford those guys. They were a big, physical team. |
