Idk I think it’s tough for one player to dominate against a team like the Panthers. Need your whole roster to be able to push back. Imagine him on the Panthers though? He’d have so much more space and be able to do Matthew’s things.
Toronto and the Rangers need to mimic their roster construction as best as they can. - TC88
True but Im talking about over his career. 68 games 26 goals is not acceptable. |

Not to disagree 100% here, but goals are much more difficult to get in the playoffs. Most goals are off broken plays and not from a set play or off a rush (yes, those happen, but not as often as in the regular season). |

What kind of asinine math is that. A 30 goal scorer averaging a 31 goal pace in the playoffs is somehow bad. Dude you are better than that.

30 goal scorer? Im talking about Austin Matthews. He has played 68 playoff games and scored 26 goals. Matthews regular season average is 45g a season. |

Jims back, wanting to start an argument.
The guy does good research, why do you care? Does his point bother you? |

Does anyone really believe the Leafs will shop AM? I saw an article and I just really think that was written just because someone wanted to type something. |

It was actually Jim Parsons. Not certain if that is any better of a source.

Would definitely be down. Just don’t see the Sabres trading with us. Recall they weren’t interested in trading Eichel to the Rangers. |

I’d imagine they’d want Emery+ in return |

It depends on if they want a D in return. A more NHL ready player would likely be what they want since they haven't made the playoffs in decades.
If a D is what they want, either Key Miller would be close to a 1-for-1 trade. Maybe Jones + pick.
If it's Emery, then I am good with that, but I just think Buffalo wants an immediate impact player. If they want more of a rebuild thing, then Emery and maybe another prospect and pick and we could also pry Tuck in the deal, as well. |

They want to trade byram because they have too many top 4 LDs. They will ask for Schneider or a young forward |

If you're the Sabres and asking for a young forward, outside of Perreault who are you requesting in the trade? |

Schneider for Byram is a very sensible trade for both teams that they won’t make. Both would immediately become #1 D, at worst 2nd pair, players for the teams |
