If you're the Sabres and asking for a young forward, outside of Perreault who are you requesting in the trade? - MeanestOfTimes
Apparently Sykora is gaining steam and had a good WC. Idk where he fits here with so many wingers tho. Maybe teams covet that lil basterd, hes pretty small |

I don’t think Sykora Othmann Berard and Roobroeck have spots as of right now. I’d love Roobroeck with Rempe and Carrick though. I think Edstrom could handle the 3rd line. |

F it, Bruins are in rebuild mode.
Pasternak Zadorov
12 OA, Miller, Perrault, Fortescue, 2027 1st, Kreider (trade chip at the deadline for them)+
Trade Panarin to make the cap hit work. |

I’m simply stating that they don’t want to trade LD for LD, not that it does or does not make sense for us |

This will never happen but a few things:
I’d bet they’d prefer laf over Perreault which also makes the cap work
That would leave our LDs as
Zadorov
Soucy
Vaak
Gross

That was the most brutal loss I've experienced as a fan of a team that plays in MSG in a long, long time. |

WTF???? Not even a head coaching position!?!?! Chicago must've offered him a boatload. - Tonybere
hope it was for the money and not for internal org issues based on this last season. |

Or maybe he doesn’t fit in what Sullivan wants to run. The reality is he was never going to be a head coach here with Sullivan coming in for the long haul. Might as well start fresh somewhere else |

Like I said maybe him and Sullivan don’t see eye to eye or don’t want to work together |

Per Mollie Walker: “After discussions with both Peca and new Rangers head coach Mike Sullivan, according to a source, the organization felt this was the best decision for both parties.”
Going to a team with a new coach is interesting because maybe he is next in line, but that’s at least a few years down the road if at all. |

If it was internal organizational issues, I don't think Chicago was the best landing spot.
More likely, I think Peca had a relationship with Lavy that he does not have with Sullivan and is probably looking for an eventual HC position.
Say 3 months into next season Bedard is now a PPG player and he credits Peca for taking the next step, Peca will have an opportunity that he wouldn't have here in NY. |

It’s like any job, if you get a new boss that you may not like or want to work with it makes sense to look elsewhere for an opportunity that fits better for you even if it is lateral |

Exactly. As in most cases, even outside of sports, new bosses tend to bring their own preferred staff over with them anyways. Not a big deal. I would have liked him to stay, but the reality is, if you want a true fresh start, everyone on the coaching staff needs to go. |

Fair enough.
I just thought that if he'd move on at this point, it would be for a HC job. Didn't stop to think about what Sullivan might want for his start. |

I really wonder if Vally has been considered for a role in the organization and if not why. If he'd even be interested. |

I think he is content being what is is...studio analytic analyst. He's great at it. Can't see him moving on to another role. But that's just my preference, though. |

Agreed. He's got a great gig. He can sit his ass in the studio and just talk about how the Rangers are playing without any added stress that comes with being a coach. Oh yeah, and make plenty of money doing it

I’m not saying he should coach. He should do analytics for them at minimum |
