Tavares is 34, I would expect he will want 3yrs at least, might be his last contract.

As for Marner, I think he will end up signing in the 12 to 12.8M, his playoffs performance did not help his case.

As an outsider, Marner yelling at his own bench killed the team. It wasn't a pump up yelling to motivate his teammates. It was a blame yelling. HE was one of the problems. HE did not show up/wake up for the last 3 games. He makes over 10 million. Why is he a screaming at people who make 90% less than him, when he's paid to perform and always collapses in game 7s?

I feel for whatever team's GM decides to give Marner the money he wants.

Also, as a Sens fan... Where the hell was this Morgan Rielly?? He was terrible all series. He looked like he should have been nominated for the Norris against Ottawa.

He’d be a good add for a team like Utah who could use some star power to help build the franchise and where strong regular season performance would be worth the money.

How much are the top 6 in Florida making vs the Leafs? Do the Panthers allocate more to their bottom 6? I honestly have not checked so I don't know.

Same problem with NYR moving Panarin and Zibby(even though he sucked this year).

If guys cant produce in playoffs, gotta trade em and fill in with more playoff performers. Other guys will step up. They may be a lower scoring Reg. season team, but they will be better prepared for playoffs...IMO
