How much are the top 6 in Florida making vs the Leafs? Do the Panthers allocate more to their bottom 6? I honestly have not checked so I don't know.

that def part of it, they can afford to pay bottom 6 more. but with the cap suppose going up, it may not be as much of an issue. but that all works itself out over time

As an outsider, Marner yelling at his own bench killed the team. It wasn't a pump up yelling to motivate his teammates. It was a blame yelling. HE was one of the problems. HE did not show up/wake up for the last 3 games. He makes over 10 million. Why is he a screaming at people who make 90% less than him, when he's paid to perform and always collapses in game 7s?

I feel for whatever team's GM decides to give Marner the money he wants.

Also, as a Sens fan... Where the hell was this Morgan Rielly?? He was terrible all series. He looked like he should have been nominated for the Norris against Ottawa.

Sorry the yelling at the bench didnt kill anything. Players vent in games in all the time.
Besides, the team was done prior to that.
Problem is neither marner or matthews really showed up in the last 3 games.
Losing Slolarz really sunk this team

Carlo and Laughton were meh. Laughton esp got crushed the series.

I don't see why Tavares should settle for anything less than what Stamkos received but hey, you never know.

There was a big change in the Leafs D from game 3 to 4... I think the pounding that they were taking took it's toll as the series went on..

If you watch the series Florida looked like they were playing 15 years ago when you were allowed to interfere with players on dump ins... Leafs did not and as a result the D was getting pounded.

As well when Bennet took out Stoalie they took away a great puck handler and Woll is average at best at handling the puck

A 1st and prospect for a year and half of a 3rd/4th liner is such a bad deal. Even with cap retention

If any major team with media scrutiny got away with gaining the cap space to trade for an 8mil RHD because they definitely had no idea their 8mil RHD would get suspended for the rest of the season for steroid use like 2 days later, we would never hear the end of it.

What I hope is that his compete catches on.. I don't agree with whoever said he got crushed this playoffs.. He was a consistent performer.. I agree we paid too high a price though.
