You had your chance, coward.

Total chickenpoop

Talk about chicken poop - you have yet to explain how the COACH will magically waive Nylander's NMC.

You sound like UG when he insisted Tavares would be gone last season, even though he also had an NMC. How? Because reasons...

And in your case it's not won't explain. It really is can't explain.

I look at it like $1m per 10pts and then add extra cash for playoff performances and special things the player brings.

So marner and matthews should have been $8 and $9m respectively. Marners new contract should have been $10.9m
I feel like matthews is making $1.5m too much.

- Fakepartofme

Willy and Marner $10M each and agreed on Mathews.
Cap can't be big enough, they have to spend a lot for bottom 6 next season.

Prior to the beginning of the playoffs, most people had the leafs losing to Florida in round 2. At the beginning of the series, most people were predicting Florida in 7….

Florida wins in 7… as expected, why exactly is it such a huge failure? Sure, they had maybe 3 games out of 13 in the playoffs that they were absolutely terrible in. I’d say most teams that play pretty good 10 out of 13 games, their fans would be pretty satisfied with. Overall, the team played better this year. Year 1 under Berube was a pretty good year overall and I do like the way the team played 90% of the time. Give the coach a second chance with this roster. I think he has earned it! Plus, if it doesn’t get them over the hump, resigning marner without the same trade restrictions in place, means we can get something back for him if it doesn’t work out.

It’s better management of a great asset.

Need me to walk you through the very simple process?

Berube doesn’t have a magic Harry Potter twig. Because magic isn’t real, N-Cuck.

I don’t know why the likes of you and the other psychopaths like Joelemy can’t understand this. I’m sure you can, but it would hurt your ego too much to admit you might be wrong so you dig in.

People mostly upset of how game 5 and 7 went on.
Also they were in great position to win game 3, which probably would seal the deal.
Before round 2 the Leafs were underdogs, but it is hard to take the outcome considering opportunities they had and did not take advantage of.
Berube will have another chance next season, even though this team may look a bit different.

Although, I do agree with you, Stolarz going down changed everything. Woll is a good goalie, but was barely used down the stretch and was a little too up and down. Not blaming him at all, again, he’s a good goalie too who will only get better… but Stolarz out is, in my opinion, likely the only reason they lost that series.

He gave the puck away TWICE in that game that led to goals.

Take solace in the Bruins extending our idiot GM another 2 years.
Really look forward to him going "off the board" multiple times in the first round.
AGAIN.

I remember one of our GM's going off the board one time at least.

Exactly, so run it back for just one more year. But, sign Marner (if they can), to a contract that doesn’t include a full no movement clause. This way, if it doesn’t work, then a trade is possible.

They have no leverage on Marner, he is UFA, and it looks more and more he walks without any return.

Maybe not, but it’s worth paying him slightly more if he will sign a limited no trade instead of full.

It was his dream to play for this team. Maybe he’s tired and wants out, maybe he doesn’t? But that would be better for the team…

Entirely possible, Berube wants him back, he was born a leaf fan, you’re probably right but I can’t see there being no chance at all…

Agree with this

Re: my lineup posted earlier, I already explained that is our current roster before adding any UFA

(surprised you kept JT in there) 😂

Me too, but hard to see them not sign him unless he asks for too much.

MacKinnon getting $12.6M, everything should be in perspective.
Marner real price should be around $8M per year. If he wants to test free agency, let him do it.

- alex.TML

Fuking exactly this Alex.

(I would still hope he mans up and does a sign and trade to save face and help his hometown team.)

It would be nice, but he is not the person, who will make this deal, he is not mature enough. He is still a kid, probably spoiled kid too.

It's been 9 years dude.

If this was year 1 of the Core Blah, sure, give them another year.

It's been 3 or 4 coaches, 2 or 3 GMS, one President of OPs hiding in the background, 100s of cheap supporting players.................

So the answer to your question is NO!!!!!!!!!!

Marner goes now.

Matthews gets healthy, Knies gets a year older and then plop in a new RW while upgrading the D and bottom 6 and 2nd LW for $14M and the other Cap space the Leafs finally have w/o Piss Flaps Marner - then go the fuk to work Leafs.

Berube will be the coach to get the Leafs the Cup if the GM can build the team right and fuk nuts in the corner Shanny kicks rocks.

The Leafs should sign Marner and trade Willy.

By your logic, they should be able to get more by trading Willy.

Sorry but I just can’t understand why any of you think Berube is going to be fine with Marner leaving and Willy staying. He won’t allow it.

I’m right about this. You’ll see soon enough.
