Perhaps...if you put him back at forward where he played prior to being drafted. - mames11

He wasn't very good at forward, which is likely why he plays D now. |

I agree on many points here, except for the...well...points. How is Kreider racking up 40 assists playing on the 3rd line? And don't say on the PP. He is net front there...you don't get apples screening the goalie. - mames11
Honestly that number is a pioma number |

And that’s how I felt about Kakko lol
I could totally see this board calling out Drury all day and night for a bad Kandre trade - Slimtj100
But Miller is a turnover machine where as KK was very good defensively. |

Well, you're wrong.
If people gave a poop about typos and/or autocorrect mishaps, this wouldn't be the most trafficked blog on the site by a factor of 5.
If people gave a poop about your opinion, you wouldn't try so hard to be heard. |

Is that why Marner played D as a kid? Or Gretzky? Or, is it maybe a little more likely that Key was the best player on his teams at that level, and it was a way to have him one the ice for half the game? |

He’s definitely got offensive skill tho. He needs the right team.
10-15 minutes, run a PP..all for under 2 million bucks. That’s kind of valuable. Like a good 7th D, where a team like TB dresses 7 D
I think he gets low ball offers for Jones, and why he doesn’t trade him - Slimtj100
He gets low ball offers for everyone else and takes those?
Jones gets low ball offers bc he stinks. He’s not actually good and he’s undersized. |

The way people talk about Jones here reminds me of what people said about Pionk. Too small... He Sucks.... But he somehow is a valued member of the Jets and is making a ton of money. I think Jones is a much better player than Pionk, so who knows. |

Pionk always played.a more physical game. Look at his hits while a member of the Rangers, night and day with Jones. That's not to say Jones got a fair chance. Just two diff players. |

Exactly. I said the same to someone recently. There is no 100% mould for an NHL player. Pionk led Winnipeg in TOI when Morrissey was out. |

Jones isn’t the same as Pionk. I liked Pionk here, but didn’t get upset when he was traded. He has certainly taken his game to another level since being traded. |

Almost had my buddy put $5 on that final score before the game. |

Wait for them to get past Dallas first. It looks inevitable, but you never know...especially with Skinner in net. |

Can't compare Pionk and Jones. Pionk played well while here and got much more time ww/ the big club. He also showed a lot more when he played for NYR..Jones not so much, and Jones was allowed to have his agent facilitate a trade, but no takers.

Would anyone here give up a 3rd to aquire Jones? I wouldn’t, but I’m sure some might. If we got offered a 3rd for him I’d take it and run. |

I just don't see how he was all that bad when in the lineup for us. No all-star, by any means. But, I never saw him as a constant liability, either.
He definitely improved our zone exits. That can't be denied. |
