Another coach happy to get out of Dodge. - OLDSCHOOL#6
No...he left because it was for a head coaching position. Anyone perusing such a career would do the same. Cannot blame anyone for it.

Exactly. Saw my buddy’s sister at a birthday party, and she lives in the same Westchester town as Muse and their kids are close. Sounded like he was nervous he would be let go and need to find a new job. Worked out pretty well for him obviously. Plan was for his family to stay in NY if he got a new job elsewhere. |

I was sort of joking . I understand he has a great opportunity.
It's more of an indictment of this mess of a hockey team. If they do not divorce themselves from the existing core it will be the same story. Drury must give the team to JT Miller, and somehow convince Zib and Krieder to go. Maybe Panarin too. |

Rangers have a long way to go to compete with FLA or EDM. How fast they play, physical etc. |

|
If EDM loses Corey Perry will have been on 5 of the last 6 teams that have lost in the SCF.

To be fair 30 teams have a lot of work to do to compete with Florida or Edmonton. There is a reason both teams have made back to back Stanley cup finals. Both are a class above the rest of the league right now |

To be fair, I only care about 1 of those 30 |

Sounds like Ty Hennes, Joe Sacco and David Quinn are the new assistant coaches |

I'm okay with it. It will be odd with Quinn back, but if he's running the PP, I am cool with this.

Yep he has always been good running a powerplay. Hennes was a skills coach in Pitt and Team USA with Sullivan so makes sense |

My dream moves would be...
Get Panarin to waive NMC and trade to the Ducks for Jackson LaCombe and a pick.
Ship Key Miller, Berard, next year's first rounder to Dallas for Robertson.
Resign Cuyle, Edstrom. Trade Jones for a pick.
Laf/Miller/GP
Robertson/Mika/Othman
Ck20/Vinny/Cuyle
Eds/Carrick/JBrod, Pars, Rempe |

It’s extremely odd and potentially awkward for the players as well. Have to hope they liked him and had a good relationship with him. To your point, maybe in a limited role he will be more effective. |

He seems to be handling fwds and PP. Keep him away from the defense

Best to trade for him Perhaps Drury can nab a 2nd next year and a 2nd in 27. Otherwise, teams are coughing up a 1st and a 3rd for him via offer sheet. |

Not enough for Robertson, IMO. Not if I'm running Dallas, anyway. He's not quite 26 years old, averaging 87 points a season. If, for some stupid reason, he is moved at the deadline instead of being re-signed, he will bring a king's ransom. |

Stars are looking to shed cap. Not certain how much more can be given...perhaps toss GP in the deal, as well. |

Hey Jan, please check your inbox for a message from the Pickle. Apparently he got banned for a completely benign post about how a Twitter account was in fact fake. |

It had to be for a post he made on page 6 of this blog, it's pretty easy to see which one it was
