If Trevling called and said I’ll give you Morgan Rielly for Mika, should Drury say yes?
Rielly Fox top pair
Or Chicago- D!ckinson for Mika, and he becomes the 3C |

Yes, a 6.5 million cap hit for a 25-30 goal scorer that’s elite on the PK and PP specialist. Not to mention what he’s meant to this franchise, but f em. Just make him a cap dump. - nyrangers9479 yes.
This is what geniuses do so they don’t lose their next generation of players. But you have poop for brains

speaking of maniacs, what’s funny to me is if Trump ran a hockey team he’d run it exactly like Chris Drury - Slimtj100
Nyrangers9479 is clinically insane. He repeats himself over and over and over. He’s been doing it for years. Like never shutting about about trading JT Miller then they get him back and he hates him. lol
Never ever shutting up about trading Buchnevich.
And now he won’t ever shut up about trading Kreider.
And he won’t make his points a few times.
He will continue to say the same things over and over and over and over again.
The guy is completely psychotic. |

Morgan Rielly is not a top pair D man.
That has been part of Toronto's problem for years. |

I’m not sure we’ll like what the zib deal looks like is why I brought him up. Toronto is supposedly interested in Zib. |

Why would the Leafs want another player who doesnt show up in the playoffs? They just got rid of one.
Mika isnt waiving to go to the Hawks.

Kreids was a great Ranger while he was here. Was time to move on. The Rangers need a new leadership core. Why I hope Zib gets moved too. People make things too personal, its a business. I hope Kreids does great with the ducks and I hope Drury uses some of this cap space wisely. |

The thing is moving CK20 frees up 6.5 in Cap space but does that 6.5 go to a player who will score 25 goals and be a top PK and PP player? This trade I think hurt the team more than helped. |

All depends on who they bring in. Could be a dman or they expect other players to step up |

It's been stated, but the element of this trade that you seem to be overlooking is that if Drury did not open up some cap space now, we had a chance of losing Cuylle. Kreider was the only significant contract that could be moved without convincing someone to help out the team and waive.
Would I like to have seen more come back? Sure. But, this is what happens when you tie your hands with NMC's and have to trade someone when their value at it's lowest. To me, those have been Drury's biggest failings.
But, back to your point, Cuylle IS the player who steps in and recovers some of the offense we lost in Kreider. |

Not sure we need to look at it as, who will we sign who can score 25 goals. To me, it’s about increasing opportunity and ice time for players who are already on the roster. Laf, Cuylle, Othmann, Perreault should all benefit and increase production next season. |

We would have had about 11 mil in Cap space, enough to sign him.
We will see. |
