I don't want to trade for Rossi. I'd rather trade for Peterka if we're going to make a move, even if he costs a little more. I'd rather roll with Pettersson, Chytl, Raty and Blueger down the middle next year than add another undersized C. - golfingsince
The only thing Buff would be interested in his Hronek…he is untouchable |

Actually that is a great deal for JJ, kept it under 8m per. |

Evander Kane rumoured to be coming to Van 🤢 - Shuswap Wap
Positives and negatives there but not sure where the GM is going with Kane. |

I think the GM is tired of soft hockey. TBH so am I.
I like this move as long as it’s just for one season. |

I don't, we already traded an bumhole away in JT Miller and we replaced him with an older, injury prone, less skilled cheaper version. Unless they have a deal in place for a 2C, this deal sucks all around and reeks of desperation because they know they aren't getting anyone in UFA and teams are asking too much of us for what we need. |

If that is the case, don't be surprised if you see the GM sign a player or 2 like Tanner Jeannot in free agency. |

Assuming that will be coming shortly/before the draft on Friday. Can't see them going into next season with Petey - Chytil - Blueger as their top 3 centers. |

So? What’s your point? Just popped in for a quick cry? They are desperate. The deck is stacked against them |

That's surprisingly not much. For a 23yr who's near hitting 30 goals.
Doan's barely an NHLer and Kesselring's a young Tyler Myers. |

Did they? How so?
They just lost a young TOP6/1st liner - 27/28 goal scorer - they have boat loads of cap space and got back a bubble Forward and a 4/5 RD (which they needed) |

They got a big, young top 4 RHD and Doan is going to be a player. JJ is soft AF |

Dont think MK's there yet and there's absolutely no guarantee on Doan - spent a large part of the year in the AHL.
Not sure many teams are in the position to not want a 30 goal 23 yr solely for the "soft AF" excuse. |

Sure, it would be nice to have JJ but not at the cost of Hronek |

Agreed - Hronek needs to stay - I think there's other players that can be cut loose.
Demko gotta go - I hate hearing talk of an extension - he hasnt earned sh$t and his 5mil cap hit would be great to get off the books. Plenty of teams looking for a #1G.
HOgs, Chytil, Bluegar, Myers, Lekker, Mynio are all trade chips to package and find a legit young 2C or Top6 W.
Hopefully, use Demko cap space to take a run at BPA FA if possible.

I hope they are patient and don’t force a trade. Nothing wrong with making the pick and saving some cap for next year. There is nothing they can do this season to make the team a contender. Slow, incremental gains is probably the best hope.
I’m mixed on trading Demko. If he is taking a discount bring him back, if not, trade him if we can get a decent return |

I've got an even better idea, how about you go f uck yourself. |

Let’s be honest with ourselves. No way the Canucks can compete with the big boys in the western conference. Looks like Vegas is going to load up again. LA up and coming. Edmonton going to go for it again while window still open. Colorado will be Colorado.
The only thing the Canucks can do is to be entertaining/fun to watch this coming season. Players like Kane, regardless of his personality, will bring some entertainment back into this team.
The Canuck were essentially unwatchable last season. |

I don't think they can compete this next year, but they can get themselves back in the playoff mix. Then they can build from there. Takes more than a year to build a contender, hopefully a few smart moves in the next couple years and they're in the game. |

When Demko is healthy/on his game he's Vezina-calibre. Aren't going to get that from Lanks. He can steal games come playoffs. If he's willing to sign for a discount, he's definitely worth keeping. |
