do you know what a prospect is?

1 1 10 vs. 29 nothing 22

hmm... leave it to you to argue something stupid about this.

last 3 drafts (for the most part) is what makes up a prospect... just so you don't have to google it.

I too thought Taylor Hall and Magnus Pajaarvi were the major cogs in that big win.

I'm not reading to much into that game. We did see some positives though. You are right, if the Oiler prospects would have been blown out people would be questioning our drafting. That Archibald (spelling?) Kid sure looked good for you guys.

Archibald and Jensen look like good prospect. That Hanzik (goalie) kid should start figuring out if he wants to be a realtor or a stock broker.

Oh my bad, I didn't know that game was only for first round picks.

This is what you said:

Amazing what happens when a team picks 1-5 every year plays a team that picks 20-29 every year in a prospect game.

Implying that our success here was because of our three top 10 picks in the last three years. Well two of them didn't play, so what the hell is your point?

Every round Morris, you have 1-10 picks...

I swear some of you just argue for the sake of arguing.

It's often a crapshoot after the 2nd round anyways. There's often not much to draw between a 70th pick and an 80th pick.
Further, It's less about where we drafted, and more about which players are actually playing the game! The top five highest drafted oilers actually playing were selected Hopkins (1st), Pitlick (31st), Musil (31st), Lander (40th), Marincin (46th) (I didn't count Teubert because we didn't draft him and thus he's irrelevant to your argument). The top five canucks were Schroeder (22nd), Jensen (29th), Sauve (41st), Rodin (53rd) and Honzik (71st). There's a difference there, yes. But a 7-2 difference?

Fun to watch.

why no Hodgson, I wonder. Maybe he's injured again? Or they just didn't want to embarrass him?

Right back to Hodgson...the only player IN THE NHL Prock has any interest in.

Pitlick didn't play.
- sanfordnson

You're right. That actually furthers my point. The next highest drafted player would have been Hamilton (48th). The fact of the matter is you can't pin this one on the oilers high drafting as the SOLE reason that they nailed the baby nucks.

Funny, seems like you've been the one slurping on your second rate prospect hodgsons bobo..... I'd figure it was more obvious with you.
