oh man, that's gotta be a tough way to wake up every morning knowing you could have been a millionaire but you have to get dressed and go to work now.

BPA should be the rule, but my hope is by the time #5 rolls around, that BPA is an impact forward.

We also know the HuGo seem to have their own list of players they view as BPA (Slaf, Reinbacher), so it will be interesting.

HuGo already sounds so silly, but "the HuGo" brings it to a whole other level.

I personally think they will draft a F as well, but if the Silayev is still there at 5 I think there’s a real chance the Habs pick him and maybe consider the D rebuild all but finished. Combine will be really important to many teams this year.

but wouldn't they need a right-handed dman to consider the rebuild on the backend as being done?

If a D is clearly the BPA (in their opinion), they pick him right?

If they do draft a D at #5, I assume they have a plan to make a big trade involving one or more of our current prospects and picks.

I would expect they have all the scenarios mapped out.

Don't worry, The HuGo got this!

when there is barely any consensus after the #1 pick, the concept of "BPA" at the draft is more or less applicable imho, you might as well consider the team's needs as well.

I get what you're saying, I'd be kind of surprised to be honest, but if they do pick a dman it surely means they have some trades waiting to happen, Hughes knows this team needs to get better up front...
