With 2 days off between travel games, I don’t think it will be a big issue.

While Edmonton has the 2 best players in the series (though I think, in his own way, Barkov is just as good as Draisatl), Florida has a deeper overall forward group, the better goalie and a much better D corps. I also think the experience of having been to finals last year coupled with having an excellent HC, gives the Cats a big edge.

The Panthers played against the three top goalies in the league and won all three series. I don't rate Skinner above Vasilevskiy, Swayman, or Shesterkin. The Oilers are one-dimensional; if they can box out McJesus, they should have no problems. The Panthers are on a mission.

McDrai are the best duo in the league and plenty of offensive threats beyond that. If it were only about goaltending, lots of outcomes would be different. Goaltending is important, but it's far from the only variable.

Oh man it’s just that simple, I can’t believe three other teams didn’t think of that :p. One dimensional hockey teams classically make the finals don’t they. In all seriously good luck!

Edmontons best hope is a Bob injury or Bob disappearing act. McJesus and German Gretzky are the only reason one is tempted to say that this series could go 6 or even 7. If the Panthers successfully shut down those 2 this series will be done in 4-5 games.

Obviously. And shutting down Malkin and Crosby was a guarantee to win a series against PIT. But they still won three SCs. Shutting down elite players is very hard to do.

The Oilers had only ten shots on net the whole game to win the series, Robertson had nine shots by himself for the Stars. If you think the Oilers are an offensive juggernaut, the Stars proved they can be shut down. Mc Jesus has been carrying the team on his back. I feel Kane and Perry will take stupid penalties out of frustration and the Panthers ' powerplay will be the Oiler's undoing.

Great news out of Edmonton,, Kane will be ready for game 1. Tkachuk was owned by Kane 2 years ago in the playoffs and became a non factor in the series.

Oilers are much better on defense now. 1-D team is an old take.
But, Skinner could be erratic, maybe. Even he’s been playing well. This is going to be good.

They got a two goal lead and focused on holding on to it? Idk how much was being shut down and how much was just trying to bring a two goal lead home. I wouldn’t take too much out of that game.

2 years was long time ago. Chukky isn’t exactly the same as he was in Calgary, and he certainly isn’t bringing that Flames team with him. What happened 2 years ago doesn’t mean much.

Funny I don’t remember Kane shutting down Chucky, seriously I think it never happened. I’d expect Benny and Chucky to take liberties when ever they feel like it. Perry is a non factor, I’m suprised he’s even in the lineup. Numbskull Nurse should be good for a few Panther goals, guys a dipsh!t.

It’s not going to be a short series. I’ve watched the Oil for the complete playoffs, they’re playing really good hockey.
Plus West is better hockey than the East.

Again the key to defeating the Oilers is neutralizing McDavid. He can make elite defensemen look like silly putty. Also, while everybody is focused on him, he makes excellent passes to a forward that no one is covering because everybody else is drawn to him.
