correct, who knows what the flyers see though.

then he gets traded for that 5th rd pick at the deadline!!!

what's more likely in your opinion: flyers trading up or flyers trading down?

In hindsight, of course, would you rather have Drysdale and a 2nd or do you wish the Flyers had just drafted David Jiricek at #5 instead?

Oh stop already, the Flyers are not signing any free agents this year, and certainly not a old, washed up and injured Maroon. I am looking forward to the Flyers aggressively trading into the top 10 of this draft and getting two really good prospects to hepl move this rebuild forward. Time to build a new young core anchored my Michkov. Exciting times.

stfu, you know jack poop what they will or won't do. you are way more wrong then right on a daily basis.

still think they are rebuilding never gets old.

do you want to bet they sign at least 2 nhl fre agents when free agency starts that will be on the flyers roster come october.

they should build around the face of the franchise TK no?

Personally, because of drysdales injury history I’d have preferred the later or to have kept cutter. We need that top end talent and it hurts to have lost that.

The draft should be interesting. If they can indeed move up, that might work out but they have so many needs, keeping the picks might be wisest. I am also wondering if DB doesn’t get a really good offer that he can’t refuse for tk and pull the trigger. That would really help. Just don’t sell low. The smart play is to say what they’ve already said. We want to re sign him etc. he’s not on the block for a crappy pick etc. don’t sign any big fa and pray michkov is on the way for next season!!

They’ll suck but I’m on board with this plan.

there will be no team making an offer they can't refuse. There will also be no team looking to lowball them or the flyers selling low.

bottom line is the flyers do not want to trade him. unless tk demands 10 per and doesn't budge he will be back.

Remember what "jonesy" said? he wants both teams to win the trade. comical.

I’d say no. That’s not much of a return for tk to move up. The issue is that it’s not a strong draft and after celebrini there’s really no can’t miss picks. I’d say tk and the 32 and 3rd for the 7 and a top prospect.

I do.

If Konecny is a top player then why do the Flyers need to add?

No, the other way around, I am way, way more right than wrong. The Flyers are rebuilding whether you like it or not. A rebuild does not equate to firesale, ice a team full of 21 year old kids and look forward to a top 10 pick in the draft every year. That is the Buffalo Sabres, who have picked in the top 10 (including 2 top overall picks) since the 2013 NHL draft. In fact this is the first draft since 2012 the Sabres are not picking in the top 10. Sorry, I want no part of this legacy for the Flyers.

TK will be extended and its the right thing to do. He is a Flyer true and true, and is a leader, as well as a hell of a good hockey player. The Flyers cannot build a contender by jettisoning every good player they have. They need to decide which players are part of the solution and keep them, and TK is defintely part of the solution.

The Flyers may sign 1 or 2 depth free agents for short money, but mark my words, there will be more subtraction than addition this off season, barring and big trades.

No effin way! The most I would trade Ottawa is a roster player, the 32nd pick and either a prospect or their 2nd round pick for the 7th pick. TK is being extended as he should be.

TK's trade value is not going to be as high as it could be because he needs to be extended, and for any team other than the Flyers, TK would ask for a max deal with probably a full NMC and no home town discount. I think a player like Frost or Farabee would be more intriguing to a team like Ottawa.

Bet he will be a solid ,if not elite, 1st line power forward. Kid has everything.

WHO CARES!

The Flyers will not be a contenders for about 3-4 years probably. What good does it do to tie long term money into a player like Konency? I am not saying he is a scrub but he isn't a superstar. He is a nice Robin to a team with a Batman. He might even be an Alfred to Batman and Robin on teams.

The Flyers need roster flexibility right now and do not need to tie it up on Konecny. He should be used to gain more rebuilding pieces along with Laughton so the Flyers can build a base to build around.

The only downfall he has is that he was drafted highly by us so he might go the Patrick route.
