Is Ullmark just interested in being on the EC? Or is he really not interested in leaving BOS until UFA? Because with his NTC restrictions, he can probably make himself pretty hard to trade. |

This is precisely what he is doing. It is speculated he wants to stay somewhere in the east and his preference is to stay in Boston. |

I mean its Sweeney. I never rule out a bonehead move, but my gut tells me that worst case scenario the bruins decide to just hold on to Ullmark and roll with one year of 12-13m cap hit in goalies.
Its very unlikely, but I have imagined a scenario where they give Ullmark an extension and trade Swayman. If this happened I would probably boycott the bruins until Sweeney is removed. THIS CANNOT HAPPEN. |

How does using up capital/cap-space on Brady get the Bruins a 1C. Aside from sorting out G situation getting a 1C needs to be Bruins highest priority. |

I guess Ulmark extension depends on how unreasonable the Swayman camp is.

I am going to guess Swayman is coming in around 7-8m over 8 years.
The Ullmark trade could have a few moving parts. If he is moved, he likely wants stability. He may want an extension or negotiations on an extension to be in place prior to approving a trade. That would add an extra layer of difficulty to it.
Given NJ and LA have already traded for tenders, my bet is Carolina now. I'm not sure Ullmark wants to move to Ottawa. |

I would do it for Stutzle not Tkachuk. And there is zero chance the Sens do that. |

I lean Tkachuk because I think he is built for the playoffs. He is a legitimate scoring power forward with an edge.
Stutzle is the exact opposite. He is a very gifted player but he seems to be a bit of a cry baby. Not to mention the diving. I also don't think there is any chance of him being moved.

I am ready for free agency to begin. Feel like the news and trades are going to be flowing as soon as this final ends. |

I don't know what the fk is happening in this thread. I'm sure I saw someone say that you cannot trade Swayman and keep Ullmark under any circumstances even it it means a great player coming in but I highly doubt someone said he'd trade for Stutzle but not Brady. Must reread these. |

Shouldn't trade Swayman. Hypothetical trades here suggested two different players for him, both are non starters for the other team. Really isn't that difficult to understand.
If those players all of a sudden became available, well then you make the trade because it would be very one sided for the bruins. Chances of that happening are next to zero. |

Money fixes a lot of problems. Hypotheically, couldnty they renegotiate his contract, add a couple years and money to it, carolina, or ottowa.. understands the terms and that sort of a nod wink deal, prior to the trade so unlmark knows he has a long term high paying situation even if its not his top choice.

You said trading Swayman cannot happen. I see no reason why not if it gets a really nice player in.
What puzzles me more is you said you'd trade for Stutzle but not Tkachuk? That has to be a misprint.
But you're right, Sens wouldn't trade Stutzle for JS unless we add considerably. They sure as hell won't deal Tkachuk period. |

Yep it shouldn't happen.....unless a hypothetical that won't happen, actually happens.
And yeah, stutzle, not tkachuk. Need a number 1 center far more in my opinion. |

Stop being an ass with your "misprint" crap.
Unless Brady has suddenly become a 1C (he hasn't) he's not what the Bruins need the most.
