I'm not saying the Flyers will be in the position for the playoffs, but the Flyers could use a top 4 D man real bad. Best case they still get a top 5 pick in the draft and can get a top 4...
So would Farabee and a 2nd get Andersson?
A Sanheim-Andersson pair would look nice.. |

IMO hell no!
Would you trade Sanheim for Farabee and a 2nd? Probably not and Rasmus holds more value than Sanheim.

Mercer is more a very good 3C than a good 2C and if the Flames would consider moving Ras IMO they need to shoot for more.
With 50% retained at the deadline we will get a deal more like Mercer and a 1st in value if Ras keeps playing like he is.
I would prefer they resign Ras over trading him. |

You built up Anderson like he’s a hall of famer but then actually proposed a fair trade. That’s confusing. |

Hall of Famer no but he's underpaid through next year, shoots right, plays with grit and would play 22+ minutes a night for any team in the league. Oh and he's currently the 3rd highest point getting Dman. |

Could have proposed more going the Flames way, but Mercer would take a lot to pry out of there.
A supreme package of picks/prospects along with a reclamation project would be great too. That Lindholm trade already looks great.

@ Deddie
I agree Flames need to shoot higher for a trade, I’m not for resigning him, I’d rather sell while the value is high.
Rasmus Andersson to the Jets for Larson and a 2nd.
Larson is Winnipegs top prospect, right shot center that had a great year with the Moose. Jets have to spend, it’s looking like this is a good chance for them to go all in.
Flames won’t be able to replace what Andy brings, but it’s not like there’s no one that could step up and fill a need. We have Parek, Brew, and Mews in the system, one has to turn out. |

Thanks Trevor.
I was very high on Mercer last year but he’s not even playing center for NJ. I feel the Flames should focus on other teams drafts. Ritchie in Colorado, Yager or Larson in Winnipeg, there’s definitely some players not playing in the show that we should be looking at. |

Thanks Trevor!
I love Ras. But they need to keep trading these vets while they can. |

It was refreshing to hear a reasonable trade proposal on a hockey buzz post. Props. |

Totally outclassed by the Knights. Could have easily been 10-0 if not for Vladar. |

Plays with grit? He has 4 hits in 8 games and is 17th on the Flames in hits. -3 against Vegas with no points and now 4th highest point getting dman...better trade him quick his value is going down
To me his value is similar to Hronek and Chychrun (to Ottawa not Washington) trades. A 1st round pick and a 2nd or two. |

Connor Zary cannot do it all by himself. Vladar has looked great this year. |

Can we PLEASE get someone to take Huberdeau off of the powerplay? Or off the first unit, at the very least.
He can't get the puck into the offensive zone with speed, he often can't take a pass clean, or keep possession when under pressure, he almost never shoots on net, and he tries to make insane high-risk passes through three defenders that look good when accomplished (2% of the time) but typically end up getting blocked and down the ice (98% of the time).
The reputation of an "elite passer" and "high IQ playmaker" just doesn't hold water. |

Well its looking like our little cinderella run is over. But thats ok. Maybe this dose of reality will help us stay the course with this rebuild & Conroy makes the right decisions going forward. Im torn on Andersen. I know his value is sky high but I also like having him & Weegar patrolling the first & 2nd pairings while we roll in our very good young pipeline of RHS defenders. The one I wonder has any value yet is Miramanov. I was hoping for a bit more this year. He's been ok, not noticeable which is not necessarily a bad thing, but I was hoping to see some evidence of some higher upside. Wonder if he has accrued any value with so many teams looking for RHS D's.
I am really liking the Vladar/Wolf tandem so far. |

When he is feeling it he is elite. Unfortunately, he only seems to feel it in the preseason.
He plays with about as many (frank)s as guy playing in a men's league intrasquad game. Somehow, he fooled the former GM and owner of the team that he cares about winning

I want to give Miromanov 20 games before I make any judgments.
I think the Ras situation depends on Ras. If he wants to stay, they will keep him. If he wants out, he´s a goner.

I was thinking Pachel was looking really good and might be a better fit in the top 4. Then he had those 2 quick giveaways and I was like Fuk. I think he’s still a better option to play with Weegar. Hanley is good for relief but he’s definitely a 7th defenceman. I haven’t minded Bean as long as he plays within his limits. Barrie may be some insurance if they make a deal on Raz, but a downgrade for sure. A trade would give us a chance to see the farmhands.
I honestly hope Connie doesn’t get fooled by the hot start. We need to be a contender for the opening of the new barn, not a bottom playoff team. With the odd exception we’ve seen what cheering for a team like that. Disappointing!
On another note Kevin. How about them Wranglers? Awesome start for them as well. They’ll get stronger with Honzek or Klapka getting assigned there. Cooley showing he doesn’t suck. 😂
Maybe Trevor will do a bonus blog on them. |

Been really pleased with the Wranglers, showing our pipeline is getting better & better. Have a buddy that went to a Tigers game in the Hat & said that Basha kid is going to be a good one too. Lots to get excited about.

I agree there is a lot to get excited about, but if they lose this years pick to Montreal it would be a pretty huge blow. Looking like that won't be the case now that they have come back to earth.
Looks like Sharangovich is back playing center.
