Outside of those players, no one came to play, which is really unfortunate. This team’s roster should beat the Ducks easily, but they looked evenly matched. If the Sens are to make the playoffs, they need to make a run in December. I think the team needs to go .600 to even to get to the 90-point range.
I do think the team could benefit from an upbeat fanbase on the 5th. It should help that the CASH line will be honoured that evening. Mooch on the nostalgia if you need to. Having a loud and positive building could help get the current players up for the game. I fear the fanbase has become mundane with the last month of play and the players may fall even flatter as a result.
I think the team likely needs a shakeup and no player should be deemed as untouchable. Some should obviously be harder to obtain, but it seems every player this team coins as ‘untouchable’ is ultimately moved. It would be nice to see Staios get a right shot top 4 d-man somehow.
