I do want to see all those prospects at training camp to see where they are at. Buchelnikov is signed for another season in Russia if i'm not mistaken so we won't see him until the 2026 -27 season.

One guy i really want to see with the Wings right now is Soderblom. He's developed some physicality to his game and despite the numbers not being great (although he has something like 5 points in the last 6 games), he has the hands, shot and hockey IQ to be much better than Rasmussen.

Ive been watching Soderblom intently the last couple years in GR. His game has improved quite a bit... it seems to have just taken a bit longer than we'd hoped. Late bloomer in the AHL IMO. He's hard to miss on the ice... he's like a red wood tree on skates. He is playing more physical now and starting to hit more. That size of his comes in handy along the boards and in front of the other team's net. His skating is pretty darn impressive for his size. You virtually never see a forward of that size. What he's improved on the most is his stick work / puck handling and passing. He just needs to keep putting up points consistently. That has been his biggest issue the last couple years.

Other Russkiye's have been allowed to ditch a year on their KHL contract to come to NA, why not Busch?

As much as it's been hard to watch, this rebuild was truly from the very foundation up. The prospect pool was dry, schemes & game plans were crap, etc...

Now, when you really look at the pool and current play, we're well into becoming a strong SCPO team....not next year or even 3yrs from now, but it ain't far off. The sheer volume of work accomplished is remarkable.

To me, Mazur, Danielson, et. al., are high priority prospects. The one that's more intriguing is Soderblom. He showed some potential last year, smooth skating, good vision, etc... but knowing he's grown into his size and seeing what he can do are on my watch list.

Jeremy,
Coaching change is breathing a little life into all of us. I personally believed the change needed to be made at the ten game mark.
As for continued change and improvement, let’s start with making sure that Edvinsson and Johansson continue to see more ice time.
Next up get Mazur and Lombardi healthy so we can see what we have. (Can you do a story on their health and when we can expect to see them again)
Maybe get a look at Danielson before the end of the season. Seeing a lot of Soderblom love if he’s ready for another look let’s get him
In a few games.
We need to get ASP to North America after his season ends in Sweden, most likely GR but who know maybe a game or two in Detroit as the seventh defenseman.
Lastly sign Augustine.

Amen. Mazur has just hit injury after injury. Love his energy and jump. ASP and Augustine, totally agree. I wouldn’t mind seeing ASP play a game or two in Detroit but wherever he lands that kid looks special. Definitely want Augustine in the fold. It’s nice to be able to have so much positive stuff all at once

Augustine wants a National Championship first.
