Thanks for posting the E ratings. I'm surprised how often you have E4s. So this requires two or more solid sources with direct connections to the deal. So like Laughton to Boston is an E4. Does direct connection to the deal mean the player, agent, GM or other Executive? Or could it be like a beat writer for the Flyers and a beat writer for the Bruins both think this is possible, so that becomes an E4. Always been curious how you define a source.

You are - by far - the worst hockey blog writer in the business. Buffalo doesn't have a Cousins, but they do have a Cozens. Seattle does not have a Gorde, but they do have a Gourde. Why can't you spell, or check your work ? Maybe take some English classes ?

Guys, the purpose isn't to be "right" on rumours. It's just to report info that is shared by his sources. The E-rating system gives sources reassurance that they won't be exposed for leaking info. Sometimes the trades seem illogical. Like the Leafs trading Marner, Flames sending Kadri to Montreal, Penguins adding Grubauer if he clears waivers. But I'd rather hear what sources are saying even if it doesn't always make sense.

I am all for ragging on Ek… but my demand for a half decent insult is equal to my demand for a quality hockey blog.

It is indisputable that teams regularly talk tons of deals that never come to fruition. There could be one billion legitimate E4s that never result in trades. But / if your basis for Ek being a hack is that the E4s never come true Your argument is as stupid as you claim his rumours to be. An E4 means people connected are discussing it - in reality 90% or more of the time premised deals don’t happen. Is Ek embarassing - sure / but these attacks are equally embarrassing and equally incompetent- so I hope for your sake - and hockey buzzed - that you at least have websites with crazy amounts of pop ups, or you are just Eks out there BSing with no money to show for it
