Sullivan has no idea what's happening lol. Gonna be tough to sit his best players.

I do think that we need to prove to Canada we can push them around physically if we’re gonna win, but that was all pretty performative and ends with giving up a PP to a team you cannot give up a PP to. We had our fun. Now focus on hitting them on the ice rather than during a side show

Right. First fight was "entertainment". The other two weren't helpful. Took the Tkachuk boys off the ice for the 1st five minutes.

Damn.... McD gonna look good in a Pens jersey in a year or two.

Grinder may declare this the best hockey game ever no matter what happens the rest of the way.

That's what happens when Georges St Pierre announced the lineup! It's going to end with a puck coming off Sid's stick.

Feel like that was a fairly decent period. Unfortunately can’t help McDavid doing McDavid things. USA is gonna have to work hard to not lose steam cus if we lose the physical edge I think we’re done for

Love to see the USA beat Canada -- but also, this will make the Canada-Finland game I'm taking my boys to on Monday much better. The Canadian stars know they have to win and will be putting in full effort.

I saw someone say on Twitter yesterday that Canada has no young goalie depth because everyone grew up wanting to be Sidney Crosby.

I remember reading a few years ago, some people thought Jarry would be Canada's goalie in the next Olympics. I guess not.

The fastest way for Canada to find a goalie is to become the 51st state.

Dude, Sam Montembeault is in this roster... A career .898 sv% with his best ever sv% in a season being .903 and has never had a GAA below 3.0.

I honestly don't understand how Fleury didn't make this roster. I'd have probably penciled him in a head of Binnington. Even our #1 Binn has been pretty average for several years now... US has become way stronger in net.

I can't stand Jarry, but in this context, even with as bad as he has been, he probably should have been in the convo... That's sad.

I thought USA were the better team overall last night. Canada wasn't making good tape to tape passes. Canada kind of looked gassed the second half of game, which is weird. Two of USA goals were great shots but also savable.

With a lot of Canada players looking sluggish it's hard not to wonder if whatever illness kept Makar out of lineup may have been affecting more of them.
