To me he is a depth player. I am fine if he stays on a reasonable contract. I am also fine if he is traded.

He is the Farabee of the defense corp.

Keep drafting outside of the top 5, and then be shocked when the prospects don’t become stars.

York is just the next in line to “not have lived up to expectations”

Maybe one of these years the Flyers scouting department will face some actual accountability for repeated failure.

Wonder how long it will take before people turn on MM and say he didn’t live up to expectations? His play has fallen off quite a bit in the second half. Personally, I think he’s still a special player but is stunted by torts. He's untouchable for the next few years. I do foresee people turning on him if he doesn’t become a superstar in that time frame though.

You are correct -- this falls directly on torts

My feeling on Cam York is i don't mind him as a player but if needed I would use him as a piece to bring back a legit center if needed.

When i look at Sanheim, York and Drysdale...I see three defenseman that are not overly offensive and not super defensively. Can they skate...sure. But I wish there was some difference in there games. I actually think there can be more in Drysdale from the offensive side and he has been pretty good since coming back from injury.

If someone wants York I think I would be good moving him if it got me a center who could be that number one.

Also the play of Andrae I think eases what you lose in York and as a rebuilding team I am not sure I want to tie up big money and term in York along with what Sanheim gets.

Just my feelings so others may disagree

Don’t like it….just like I don’t like when the US anthem got booed in Montreal….sets up for a great game though. Hopefully it’s a classic.

Yea, it's been sad since Bill left. I appreciate Ek trying to keep things going but things aren't the same. I even miss some (not all) of the banter that used to go on here. I'm not into the tournament, so don't check in as much as when we have games. That said, they need to find a regular blogger to provide daily insight on the team, break down games, etc.

Full credit to the NHL on the idea of the tournament. Got a lot of interest because the NBA product around their All Star game is really, really terrible. All the players involved embraced the moment and played full speed ahead.

Those early OT stops by Binnington. Holy Smokes.

Tremendous tournament. So intense and passionate.

One thing is clear after watching this tournament. Flyers clearly lack talent. Which many realize.

Will the head coach learn anything from this tournament? Will the Flyers brass?

Looks like Faber made York in that WJC....or the Flyers are just awful at developing players....a real shock there.

That Jamie Drysdale trade needs to be rectified, I'm not a Drysdale fan, I think he needs to be flipped. We do have three, first round picks, and four, second round picks, so there is that.

Congrats to Sanheim for winning and playing a bigger role that most would have anticipated.
