All good points. Especially bottom 6 lack of scoring and Allen rebound control. Daws had a nice game yesterday so maybe he’s the new #2? Nothing against Nico, but the team seems to lack leadership and tenacity. Where’s Claude Lemieux when we need him?

Next game is Meier’s 150th game with the Devils. When do we admit his acquisition was a mistake? In my opinion, he’s been a bust and a huge disappointment and really hasn’t done anything of note as a NJD. Wouldn’t mind seeing him on the way out at the TDL. I don’t see him as part of the future.

I just don’t understand why we can’t get Meier to workout for us. Maybe cuz we expected more? He’s not that great. Reminds me of when we brought back Rolston. Big shot, but disappointing elsewhere.. and a big contract.

Avs are outplaying us. We have too much talent to play like this. Is it leadership? Coach/Captain? Allen made some great saves but we just lost 5-1.

It is startling the difference between his time on SJ and with us. What has changed? You would think people smarter than me (coaches) could figure this out. They continue to play him on his off wing. The best time he played for us was when we played him on his proper wing like he did in SJ.

I never understood the love for him, as it almost seemed to come from nowhere. All of the sudden he was a top player in the league who was a fifty goal scorer even though he had never accomplished that at the time. Everyone assured me I was super wrong but I also barely have time to watch hockey anymore. Didn’t he have a major injury last season, could the surgery still be bothering him?
