Y received a 4th for Kyle Aucoin and retaining $1,291,667 (25%) of Yanni Gourde's salary and then giving him to Tampa. |

Plus Tampa sending two first rounders out for their pickups. The prices are insane. Wondering if Aucoin let them know he was going UFA or wanted a different option |

Y'all have said prices this year are way too high. With the Mazur call-up, I'm wondering if The Captain does much of anything by tomorrow. Would think the pricing takes us out of the running for Nelson and Cozens (as rumored...)... |

They are, and now there seem to be three teams “very interested” in Rantanen. Here’s my best guess. If it comes down to it and a team doesn’t want to lose someone for nothing, Yzerman can make a deal. The would mean a depth player or D. They renewed Watson for another year, wondering if he’s going to be a call up at some point with Ras and Copp down and Shine reassigned, Fischer on waivers. We’ll see. There are teams that already know they’re far out of it. Holding off on new write up to see if anything budges after the waiver wire |

Rumor chart really has only two rumors listed for Detroit:
Boeser (Vancouver) Center
Middlestadt (Colorado) Right Wing
Wonder if Yzerman has the actual combination of picks / players. Hell no to any top prospects getting traded.
Top line tonight: Soderblom - Larkin - Rymond
2nd Line: Debrincat - Compher - Kane
Kasper on the third line: Berggren - Kasper - Tarasenko
4th Line: Mazur - Rasmussen - Veleno
So my take on this is why have Rasmussen at Center ? He never puts up points playing center. Keep him on the wing where he belongs. Veleno is a better skater. We'll see how it goes. Hope Rasmussen hasn't lost a step after the concussion |

The Edmonton Oilers are finalizing a trade for San Jose Sharks defenseman Jake Walman as they look to shore up their struggling blue line.
The return has not yet been announced, but there's rumblings there's a first-round pick headed back to San Jose.
Walman is having a great season with the last-place Sharks, recording six goals and a career-high 32 points, along with an impressive -1 plus/minus rating, considering the Sharks have a -68 goal differential this season, 111 blocked shots, and 48 hits across 50 games played.
Walman is in the second year of a 3-year, $10.2M contract, carrying an AAV of $3.4M. His average ice time is up more than three minutes per game than last year with the Detroit Red Wings (23:11 vs 19:46). |

Just as we have a little hope. This team folds again like a cheap suit. I hate to say it but Time to take the C from Larkin. And 1 more year max for Yzerman, the yzerplan and his whole legion of overpaid cronies. I will say Yzerman has drafted well but his management of the team is disappointing. Change coach to late Mismanagement of Walman Ghost. Playing Husso last year to much and I could give many more examples. |
