So... Petey's looking better eh

“The second period I was trying to make too many soft plays. They got some momentum, and I think little bit in the third too, but we stuck with it,” Pettersson said. He had the goal in the first and a couple great dangles in the second.

“He’s Jukin, he’s shooting, he’s being himself, and he’s gaining his swagger back, which is scary to see,” Kiefer Sherwood said. “He does a lot of things well without the puck too, that probably go unnoticed.””

Rick Tocchet said he gave Pettersson a bit of “crap” late in the game after a poor shift and Pettersson responded positively.

“We talked after the game and he said ‘sometimes I need that,'” Tocchet said.

Well, as long as the players are happy, I guess it's all good. I only watched the turd period but it appeared to me like they were hanging on by a thread.

I will say this though, Hronek has really stepped up in Quinn Hughes absence, he's playing really well for the Canucks.

Canucks 2 highest paid forwards have 30 goals, Boeser and Pouty, 18.2 million, while 2 bottom of line up players, Sherwood and Suter, have 30 goals at 3
1 million.

They should split them up when Hughes gets back.

High third round pick is good return considering Soucy this year, not a flash y tdl. Turns out Corrado was right.

Thank you and oddly enough the team is hanging in there in the WC spot. Can it be maintained?

I would be too if I got paid 11.6 million dollars a year to score 12 goals.

Soucy with a goal. Already looks ten times better just being away from the Nucks.

And apparently it was Miller that called Soucy to sell him on going to the Rags and got him to waive his NTC.

Apparently this was his face when they asked if he was happy that Boeser was sticking around for the rest of the year.

And yet NY blows a 3-1 lead in the third and loses it in overtime. Tkachuk with the OT winner.

Edit: and Miller with an absolute brutal effort on the winning goal. As Booner has said a million times, the guy is not a leader. Great skills but no heart, no soul.
