Adrian Aucoin is widely recognized as the last notable NHL player to use a wooden stick for a significant portion of his career, switching to composite sticks in the early 2010s.

Check and see how many home runs were hit with the torpedo bat, not as many as they would have you believe.Just Yankee haters want to cry because they didn't come with it first. Crybabies.

I agree. I was on a coast to coast fligh sitting next to Don Granada during the Canuck’s/Bruins Final. One of the smartest guys I’ve ever met. And he said if he made the net 4 inches taller it would be all the difference…. I totally agree still

I'm a Yankee fan, but they did not come up with the idea of this bat. A few other players have previously used it and it's not new. They may be popularizing it, but the people assuming this is the reason they had an offensive explosion aren't even looking at the reality of it. There's only like four players using it and Judge isn't one of them. Bellinger had previously tried it out, in some capacity, in Chicago too.

What parent would ever let their kid get mentally tortured for 15 years to become a goalie with smaller pads and an infinity well behind them? We're already running out of great goalies and running into issues where backups are near unplayable...then the plan is to add another 4 teams (8 goalies) and let's expand the nets! Oh good. 9-8 Oilers vs Houston Assucks. What a fun time.
