He needs to sit for the rest of the year. It makes zero sense to bring him back for a handful of games. Shut McAvoy down. Shut anyone with lingering injuries down if its questionable. Roll the lineup you can. If they lose out, they lose out. | |

Season is lost and its pretty clear he is phoning it in. Oh well. We are in line for a top 5 pick this year though.
Maybe Sweeney sends a message and takes a couple goalies in the draft. | |

As an aside Dean Letourneau is not having a great year at Boston College. Hope that's just growing pains.

I think its just growing pains. He is a longer term project. Not playing in the USHL prior to college works against him, but I think he will be ok. Needs to work on strength and defensive game. He was utilized primarily in a bottom six role this year.

Maybe once Leonard and a few others move on, he will get a bigger opportunity. | |

I mean there is always that risk. I think he will play at some point but he will be a longer term project. My prediction is that he ends up somewhere between Charlie Coyle and Tage Thompson at his best. I dont think he will see an nhl game for at least a few years though.

There is also the risk that if he is good and the bruins look like poop when he is ready to make the jump he might just play 4 years of college and sign with someone else. | |

Currently putting together my own video scouting of who I would like the bruins to take. There is a decent amount of talent at the top of the draft, but I'm really curious to see where the bruin's will pick at.
Team needs help all over but I'm guessing they will take a forward since they cant score worth poop. A couple of intriguing D names after Schaefer though. | |

Letourneau was always expected to be a long term project because of his size. Even so, i feel like you couldn't have a worse college stat line. I think next year will be more telling as he gets more ice time.

Using Tage as the comparable. He really didn't hit his stride until he was 24 years old. | |

Tage also needed a different coach to get his career going. The trade to buffalo was good for him. Hopefully by the time Dean is ready the team is younger and someone not named Sacco is coaching.

Well, one loss away from elimination (or another point by the Habs). Just get it over with already. | |

On the bright side, as long as Sweeney doesnt reach into the late first round/second round with his top 10 pick, bruins are in line to get a decent player who can either start right away or will be ready in 1-2 years and should be exciting to watch.

I will actually be interested in the draft lottery this year. Would be awesome to snag a top 2 pick but picking in the top 7 isnt terrible this year either. | |
