Could have just waited to fire Torts, and pick top 5.
But their once spiritual leader, member of triumvirate - just had to go.
(frank) the Flyer family. Zero accountability for men more concerned with keeping their legacies alive, and jobs for their buddies - than modern day success. - flyer_nutter
disagree as it wasn't ideal, he needed to go then and there.
There will be a dozen teams interested in Rossi. Why would he want to sign long term here? |

not surprising if true - hello it's me 2050
This sounds like Babcock level shenanigans. I had to make sure this article didnt come out on April 1st, and even then I am having a hard time believing if any of it is accurate. Even if some of it is accurate, that is nuts.
edited to add: Dafuq is that website? I feel like I need to run an antivirus after visiting that sketchy site. |

I personally believe that Tortorella was no longer interested in coaching this team, as it all fell apart. He was never interested in truly being a rebuilding coach and taking steps back as he often talked about. His interest was self interest. He wanted to be the coach that performed the miracle and raised the team out of the gutter. To further his mostly undeserved reputation of getting the "most out of teams". There is no doubt in my mind that as the hypocrite he is, he quit on this team and these players. He sabotaged the situation and forced the firing. I just don't know if it is to the depth that article suggests. Have to be very careful one, with where it came from and secondly, the unnamed sources.

Definitely interested. RFA can have his rights traded to a team who will match any offer sheet. Maybe one of the 2 late first rounders & or Cam York. MN gets some relief and a D who may need to be moved on, and he has a manageable cap hit. |

Trading York for Rossi is a bad move. For one, we already have a small center in the pipeline in Luchanko. Now that asshat Tortorella is gone, York doesn't need to be moved on. If his salary requests are too high that would be one thing. Flyers need to draft, not trade or sign

Guerin likes big centers. Rossi has been inconsistent and loses focus at times. I think it could be a mistake to trade him. He’s developing pretty well. I don’t see a match here. The Wild have Faber, Juricik and Buium. I would rather have Brodin, Middleton and Spurgeon than York. The Wild need an offensive forward badly.

He's amazing. 40 years old and still one of the best goal scorers in the league.

I wouldn’t be buying yet….the market is no where near the bottom. Just let the economic genius’s economic policies continue to work their magic….then buy. |

Big day for draft positioning. Sweeney did a heck of a job scuttling his team- BOS looks absolutely cooked. Pastranak still very much in his prime and the team looks like a rebuild is needed. Flyers need to finish below SEA and BUF.
Kolosov has sat so long and supposedly they want to get him game time. Hopefully it starts to tonight. |
