Really surprising if anyone picks up his contract in a trade.. with that being said what a huge boost to have for playoffs.. nemec and cholowski aren’t it and casey doesnt have the size for a canes matchup |

Thanks Chris...and you are Chris...not GUEST WRITER, guess they have yet to fix that typo. I believe this team has a chance to surprise. It has taken a while, but the commitment seems more FIERCE.
Anyway, the trouble with Dougie is the cap hit. It's not even that he is not worth it. He seems to love playing in Jersey, and his signing stabilized our credibility with free agents. So he has been worth it...but we have a GLUT of defense thank Jeebus, he's just the odd man out. But like you said, let's enjoy. Thanks bud |

I just can't see anyone taking on Hamilton without devils retaining (not sure how many retention spots Devils have). I know the cap is supposed to be going up over the next few years but his play doesn't warrant 9mill cap hit and pretty sure he has some type if NTC
I know people are down on nemec but think he will bounce back. Think the injury just before camp last year was a big issue
